Yokohama ES-100 195/60/14 - Prices in Pune

Does anyone have a hint of the prices of this tyre in Pune? A friend of mine is looking to put them on his Verna and the dealer has quoted 4500 per tire. I suspect he is taking my friend for a ride!

Does anyone have any idea? Please post the prices asap.

Yes, he is definitely taking your friend for a ride. The price should be around 3.5k for that size.

I thought as much. Because, for the S-drives on my Lancer (size: 205/55/15), I was charged about 4000 bucks per tyre. 4500 is insane for a 14'er. Thanks iraghava.

I am assuming the ES100 does not cost much more than the S-drives for similar size. They should be more or less in the same price range. Correct me if I am wrong.

Last I heard, my friendly neighbourhood tyrewalla (not irraghava ) in Aundh, Pune offered to get ES100 shipped from Mumbai for around Rs 3,800 for 195/50/R15. I didnt have the time to wait for it to be shipped from Mumbai and so opted for Good year EV.

Anyway, I suggest your friend go for the newer tyre models from Yokohoma..

Just got a call from my friend. He is haggling with a dealer in Vapi (his in-laws place). The dealer seems to not budge from 4300. My friend will now come back to Pune and get them here.

Thanks guys. Appreciate your inputs.

Actually, the ES100's are cheaper than the S-Drives. S-drives are the successors to the ES100 pattern but both are available in different sizes hence, there is no overlapping between the two patterns.

It was jus 2-3 weeks back I asked about this tire in Pune and was told around 4.1k for a piece. I think thats steep too. Prices were tentative were not confirmed, thats what the dealer said.

Bought mine here in Bangalore for around 3.3k IIRC.

Get them from Mumbai as they will certainly be even cheaper there. I think Saifee Tyres etc near Milan Subway would be a good shop to check with. Google their number and give them a buzz.

4.1k is a rip-off!

No it hasn't been discontinued. Its still selling.

A drive and C drive are comfort based tyres, they can't be a replacement for a performance tyre like ES100...

BTW the successor of ES100 is S drives and they are out and selling in good numbers.
