Oh CRAP! Big goof up!

Sorry! I got totally confused with duraplus.

About the Assurance, not much idea. Sorry. I was referring to the duraplus. I got confused between the two patterns!

@WasavaTyres ---- Thanks for waking me up!

I have found it to be a decent all round performer. Like I said in reply to Nikhil's post,it's a low noise, good mileage and quite a comfortable tyre to ride on. And I don't have specific test results or anything but it's excellent in terms of grip and cornering too. The sidewall is supposed to be made with kevlar for additional strength, and it has this conical 'thing' what Goodyear calls "waffle blades" build into the tread sipes. I do have a cross-section of the tyre, shall post pics showing "waffles" tomorrow. And with Goodyear's unconditional warranty, it's very good value fr money too. Imagine if you nicked the sidewall on your week old XM1 or S-Drive, you'll get zilch from the company if you went for replacement. At least with this you can have a brand new tyre at no cost

It has to be a typo. It's like saying I bought a Honda Indica.

Comments? The tyres bear the name Goodyear GT3 155/80R12, and the dealer said its of Assurance range. Now, just as a person comes with broken bones, I will identify the part and then treat. Similarly, if you are into the world of tyres, you may know better. For me its foremostly important that I procured Goodyear 155/80R12. And yes, life is full of miracles.

Sorry Doc, but the Assurance and GT3 are two completely different lines of tyres from Goodyear. And FYI, here are the separate pages for the Assurance & GT3 range. The Assurance range starts from 14" onwards.

Assurance

GT3

True: Read: 2005 Industrial Design Excellence Awards - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (not sure if for the Asian spec one tho') and Goodyear Assurance Tire Named 'Product of the Year' in China (this one is the version we have)

Is this for the Duraplus or Assurance range?

Actually I found a 205/65R15 lighter than the GT3 195/60R15 or Bridgestone 195/60R15. I hope the Kevlar makes the sidewalls stronger too!

Excellent pictures Wasava! Interesting to see it minutely. Hope it adds some value to the tyre and not a gimmick.

I am tempted to go for this (205/60R15) tyre for my Fusion as an upgrade over the (now worn out, 48,500+ km 195/60R15 GT3s). The price premium is significant at 67% ! Do you suggest it? Check: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...ml#post1496513 and subsequent posts.

Is Assurance available in 195/60R15 too? Any idea roughly what is the price?

Interesting for sure.

On the whole the tread looks plain:
