Need Help To Upsize Verna VGT Tyres.

Hi
I am planning to upsize my verna wheel size.

Current Size=185/65/14R Bridgestone

New size=205/55/15 Michelin

Please let me know is this is the correct size. My concern is if put 205 ,is it touches the body with the full load or not.If any one have tried this size please let me know your concerns.

From this forum i came to know that the offset is 35. What will the acceptable offset for the size.

Suggest me some good models in Lenso.

I'm using the Michelin Energy MXV8 205/55/15's on my Verna VGT. I have done 8,500kms to date and have absolutely no problems whatsoever. Have had a cumulative passenger load of around 450kgs approx on a drive from Kerala to Pune via Goa and had no problems at all. So be rest assured and go right ahead with the upgrade.

By the way are you going for Michelin pp2/MXV8

195/55 R15 should be closest possible inch-up.

Hi,

I think 195/55 R15 should be ideal for the Verna. I have got my Verna with 195/55 R15 GIII Potenza. What i have heard is 205/55/15 would touch the fender while tuning if there are 4 people seated with luggage in the car.

Regards,
Sajan

The offset on Verna's wheels is 35. You could recheck / reassure yourself with your tyre dealer. Hope this helps.

@sajands: Would like to clarify that I have travelled between Palghat and Goa through uneven roads, Ghat sections (with many hair pin bends) and with a cummulative passenger load of around 450 kgs plus luggage and never did the tyres touch the fenders. Rest assured, even in tight U turns, never did the tyre touch the fender.

Hi Suren

What is the off set value of your alloy wheels .So that even i can go for the same value, as you are not facing any kind of problems with it.

35 is the offset on my alloys too... Plenty of options available on this size. Scout around for the design that suits you the best.

Hey veerarajus, any updates. Have you done the upgrade. What sizes have you put in. Which alloys? Do upload the pics and a initial report if possible on the change that you feel after the upgrade.
