Michelin=more incentives+profits+nice trips to F1 for high sales dealer, Yokohama, way less margin, no incentives so no sales. Yokohama is way less noisier than Michelin, remember, the quietest car around is a Lexus LS460 and they used Yoko dB edition for reduced noise. Not only that, the Yoko handsomely outperforms Michelin rain or shine.

Are you talking about the C drive versus MXV8 in particular, or the brands as a whole? I use the performance range of both, Michelin & Yokohama. Though either tyre is good, and I am satisfied, it is the Michelin that has the edge.

That doesn't account for peanuts. The LS460 is also sold with Bridgestones. And, IIRC, Consumer Reports (whom I greatly respect) rated Dunlops as the best tyres for the LS460.

Again, is your comment toward C drives in particular? If you are commenting on the brands as a whole, you are totally off the mark.

Iff we compare with Stock B390 205*65*15 will C drive serve the purpose for comfort and lesser noise and more stability. Considering miles for Michelin and Yoko will remain same around 55K to 60K does michelin really worth spending that 3k extra. Please suggest ?iraghava you there

Ok making it simpler, ignoring cost factor, which one is best out of MXV8 and C drive

Although comfort is on higher side, but I have to drive sometime on virtually no roads (In MP). So which one will solve this purpose.

Go for the A.Drive's Sam, it's a very good tyre. And neither tyre will last you 60k, do not expect more than 50k kms at best from either tyre.

Everyone here talk s highly about the michelin s but @ the local tyre shop i was advised against them ?? What s wrong with the stock B390 s finally thinking of replacing them with simliar one s !! Has anyone put michelin s on his innova can you post your experienc e ???

205/65-15 - A drives and dB V550
225/60-15 - C drives

225 C drives would be best option as suggested by Ishan.

Just changed the tyres on my Innova. Opted for the new range from Michelin called Primacy LC over Energy Xm1. Its the standard 205 size and cost Rs 5450 each. Iam yet to go on a long drive and will post my feedbacks later

Hi Everyone,
There are too many advices on the tyres. First let me introduce myself. We have 3 Innova's at my home. The first Innova named by us 2727 has done around 62000 Kms. the other two innovas 4545 and 6669 have done around 48 and 30K Kms respectively. I would right a complete review on my 2727 in a new post where you can ask me any question on coustimization to Innova. You ask me and you will find the same on my Innova.

Now coming to tyres I recommend 225-60-15 to 205-65-15. The former cost is slight higher to the later.
The good year tyres that came on my Innova lasted for 60000 kms and they would have come for further 5000 kms with tubes. Anyway I opted and surveyed the market for a week. At last I changed to Bridgestone 225-60-15. The tyres are named ER-60 Turanza. If you need bigger brand and can spend more then Michilin Mxv8 are the ones. To the tyres there is no difference in drive. In my survey the JK radials are also a top notch tyres. One good thing in JK radials is they have a even wear and tear is very minimal and the cost is minimal when compared to Bridgestone and Michilin.

No I dont think it is a replacement for the MXV8s or probably could be a replacement since the price of both the tyres was same. The dealer said that he received the tyres only on 20th Feb and said this tyre was specially made for Innova

and said it has much softer side wall than the MXV8. Since my primary requirement was comfort and my existing Goodyears were in bad shape I just took them.

I just came back from a 500 km drive today and yes the ride was much better than the OE tyres and the road noise was nil.

I bought a new Innova VX on 21st Sept from Harsha Toyota.

The OEM tires were Bridgestone B390. As usual, I wanted to upgrade the tires soon after the purchase. Options were 225/60R15 Michelin Primacy(~7400 each) and Yokohama C.Drives (~5450 each).

I must add that I am a certified Michelin fan..love the Energy XM1 in my Baleno and have had very peaceful, quite and balanced 37k Kms worth of ride till now (the tyre NEVER wobbled till now...I get the balancing done every 10-12k but that is precautionary) .. the tires seem set to last another 15k or so at least..that too when 5th tire is rarely used as it developed a sidewall bulge (highway drive---nail---low air pressure---pothole at high speed--rim and tire sidewall..both lost shape :( )

I had to purchase Yokos as the pricing differential was too steep. 10K extra just for similar grip was not worth it. I know from exp that the Energy Xm1 are not the grippiest tires around..in fact they have very average levels of grip.though outstanding ride comfort, mileage and silence.

My initial feel of the C.drives is a thumbs up!!..The ride quality of the C. Drives as well as the stability at high speed (100- 120Kmph) seems very very good. The tires had no noise at high speeds

I also loved the tread design. All in all, very happy with my decision to purchase the C.Drives.

One more C drive fan joins the club. In my next car tire change (in the Baleno). I will evaluate C drives against Energy XM1s..looks like C. Drive have got the edge in grip..

I bought them in Hyderabad / Minister road at Ashoka Wheels.
