Bridgestone Turanza - Very trust worthy!

The Turanza ER-60 is now available in a wider variety of sizes.

The list of sizes are mentioned in the link below.
Passenger Car Tyres & Automobile Tyres India I Potenza tires, Turanza tires, Dueler tires, Donut tyres | Bias, Radial, Tubeless tires

As per that list 195/60-15 is now available in that size. This is the most popular size for the Maruti Swift. The options in that size before were very limited.

As per the reviews the tyre is very much suited for our roads and offers a good compromise between ride and handling and takes on lots of abuse.

Sadly they dont have "195/70/14" i had to go for Michellin XM1+ instead(for Adventure)

Dont these Turanza i.e. 195/60 cause a drop in the FE figures? I am looking to fit them onto my Corolla, would like to have an opinion soon. Thanks.

I've been using 195/60/R14 ER-60's on my Getz, amazing tyres,awsome gripa and the car literally glides,it's that comfortable.

But what about your FE figures? Have you noticed any drop?

I had mentioned that there was a drop in FE after changing over to Turanza but it wasn't really the case. I changed from 185/60-14 to 195/60-14. The change in diameter caused a wrong reading in the odo and the lower mileage. Moreover the car had a small mechanical issue which has been rectified now and mileage is now back to what it used to be.

So if you put on the same size there will be no change in mileage.

Great, thanks for that reply. Hearing nothing but good stuff about the ER60's and since I am sticking to the same size, I think they will be a good buy. Any idea about the cost?

I have Turanza in my Swing for the last two years. I would vouch for the tyres any day. Not a single puncture ( touch wood!). I have a nail embedded now for the last two months but since there has been no significant reduction in tyre pressure I have been living with it!

Guys,

My car came with Bridgestone Turanza ER300s 195/65 R15 H rated tubeless tyres. Previous car had Bridgestone Potenza 195/60 R15 V rated shoes. The Turanzas are better if you like ride comfort and lo noise.

I am in two minds about switching the ER300s on my altis. Cant comment on grip because i havent really cornered the car as yet. Although i find them noisy.

Navinji, go for the stock 205/55-16. MXV8 is one of the best but I believe it is going to be replaced soon by the Primacy LC.

The turanza ER-30 is what N_C was using on his car and as per him they were very good. Recently he has changed them to the newer Turanza AR10. These are not officially available and he has picked them grey but at a very good price.

For tyres usually bill and warranty is of no use. If your tyre dealer is reliable, grey market is equally good. Even if you buy with warranty almost no tyre manufacturer replaces them as indian roads are no good and the blame is passed that the car was driven over a stone causing the bulge/tear and it is not a manufacturing defect.
