How can both PP and XM1 cost the same?? Typo ??
IMO XM1 should be around 3700 per tire.

My friend's tenant owns a tyre retail shop in bangalore. He told me that tyres are still available at the old rates. The new rates will be effective sep 1st. Not sure what the status is in other places.

I've been noticing "updated" price lists almost every month for the past few months and almost every manufacturer is following this trend.

Blame the rising rubber prices for that.

Another way of looking at the price hike..The exchange rate of stock OEM tires has also increased.

Update..

I decided to not go in for tyre upgrades..

My current tyres still have some life left in them and these days I am too busy to go anywhere other than the office.. Will most probably do this in the winters..

Just adding my bit of latest information for this thread. Yesterday I got myself Bridgestone ER-60 (185/70 R13) for my Corsa at Rs 3100/- per tyre. Free balancing but Rs 250 for Alignment. (Rates are for Pune)

Will check from which batch the tyres are and let you know,
Should cost you 2625 each for a 165/60/13 G III and here in BBay its readily available.

Just came back from a tyre shop and was chatting with the owner. PPs and XM1s are almost the same price now...hardly 70 or 80 bucks difference. PP1 have gone up by 10% damn my luck.

Immediate Requirement for Baleno Tyres

All,

I need to replace my Baleno tyres as soon as possible. I might go in for alloys but havent decided yet. But the tyres for sure. Not looking for any upsizing, but looking more on ride comfort and OEM standards. I understand that there might be a few threads on the same but here is the catch.

a:- Checked with M.A.S.S and they dont have options in choosing the tyres. Its going to be Bridgestone.
b:- Not ready to check on pricing for the old ones.

Hence the post. If some one could let me know a good place in bangalore for the tyres. I need to get these done today or latest by tomorrow as i need to travel to chennai on the weekend. Prefrable if its a T-Bhp member owned outlet.

If upsizing or otherwise go for Michelin Energy XM1+. I think VXi comes with 185/70 tyres

Now coming to the shop, go to Super Tyre Tec, JC Road. Prakash is the owner and a nice chap, knows me and many Tbhpians very well. Send me PM if you want Prakash's phone number.
