AccordV6 tyre and alloy upgrade

I am using the stock tyres and alloys of my accordV6.I am planning to upgrade from 16" to 17".Is it advisable?My tyrewala asked me not to upgrade because,Mumbai=potholes so there will be dents on the alloys.Please suggest.Also will it affect FE.I dont care about the Honda warranty.

upgrading to 17 will be fine but you will have to be a bit more careful over the bumps and the potholes.

Aha, this thread means that you have decided to keep the V6

. Good choice. No problems with a 17" upgrade as long as you don't mind the stiffer ride quality. Have a look at Iraghava's excel sheet for information on recommended upsizes.

If at all you wish to switch to 17" you can opt for 225/50 R17.
