Swift + Yokohoma S drives 205/50 = What psi?

guyz, Want to know what psi is good for 205/50 profile tires? I am running Yokohoma S-drives at the mentioned profile.

Currently, it's 32 psi

NOTE: Mods, pls move it to appropriate section if any.

Im using a 195/50 in S-drives with a 30 psi. works wonderful.
I feel that 32 psi will give you a more bumpy ride.

Well actually the psi depends on how many people sitting in the car.

If is 2 ppl, then 30 psi is fine.
for 4 ppl, then 32 psi is fine.

I have been running 33 PSI since my last trip. Gives you a bouncy ride but since the S-drives are soft compound you don't feel it that much. 32psi is ideal and I drive a baleno.

Is it a DDiS ? Why did you opt for 205/50 instead of 205/55 ?

Since mine is diesel Im running 32/30 currently.

Iv used 30/28 before and 28/28 also. With Bangalore's condition of Roads after the rains Iv decided not to keep it so low.

I just realised you havent mentioned the rims.

205/50/16 would be correct.
If its 205/50/15 then incorrect upsize but not a huge issue

Thanks for the info guyz,

Souljah,

It's a Vxi, I have 15" Lenso alloys .. prob is the dealer said 205/50 is ok .. so 32 is good enough then? Why reduce the pressure for the rear tires? Does 32/30 mean 32 for front and 30 for rear?

Dont worry Inder, not a biggie.

Higher pressure upfront only due to additional weight of the DDiS engines. In the petrol it isnt necessary. Again this is a personal habit, many others are running uniform pressure all around. Its your personal comfort after trials.

Im using a 195/50 profile with S-drives. 30 psi is what i use with no issues.

32 psi however will be a bumpy ride.

It also depends on the number of people in the car.

If its 2 then 30 psi is ok and if its 4 people then 32 should be fine.
