Just spoke to GD & he confirms that it is indeed Kataria

I was thinking that its owned by Deepak Batra who owns the accessories shop next to it.

It uses Hunter machines. If the technician is good, it should be fine.

Since GD said that the other branches are decent, I think it should be quite good.

Why dont you be the guinea pig?

Got my Forester aligned at this Bridgestone dealer in the Sikanderpur market. Very big bridgestone dealer that you can see on the main Sikandarpur bypass road.

The work done was absolutely top notch. I had the tires balanced, rotated, and a 3D alignment done. The technician was very good and had a good attitude. All work was done properly and there was good attention to detail.

I would highly recommend this shop.

By way of comparison, I had visited the tyre shoppe in Noida, and I would definitely not recommend them to anybody. Poor attention to detail, and the shop is so busy that they just do not give you any individual attention or care. Tires were mounted in the wrong rotation direction, etc.

Also have had work done at Manjeet auto opposite sector 14 market in Gurgaon, but would not recommend them. The alignment tech has an extrememly bad attitude, and almost got a slap on the face from me when he did my alignment. Needless to say I will not go back to this shop.

Can you share the wheel balancing charges, do they also charge you on a per wheel basis for alloys? What was the charge for alignment?

TIA

100 per wheel for balancing
500 for alignment

Was well worth the price, as the work quality was very high. And I am a tough customer to please. I actually go under the vehicle and look at what the technician is doing, and confirm the alignment is o.k. on the computer screen.

Thanks, quite expensive but worth it for peace of mind I guess. Checking the computer is something most of us would do, I do follow the technician closely as well.

Yah, go past GBP & keep following the main road - where it curves right, look out for the shop on your left. Located before the host of Sanitary & Plumbing fittings shops.

By the time I got to speak to Guruji, I got a decent cheapo job done at MA Tyres - 250 total alignment, balancing included for OEM wheels.

They first balanced each wheel - even the stepney had issues, rotated X, and then they put these four infrared thingies on the tyres to align it, and did some minor natak.

Its way cheaper than what Competent wanted me to spend - Rs 1000 :-)

You could check it out for smaller jobs - its about 100m shorter of the one guruji said. For big thingies, guruji's advice wonlee.

Just back from a alignment, rotation and balancing job from T-Mart, Next to Galaxy hotel and Skoda showroom in Gurgaon.
They have done a decent job. The steering position had to be corrected a little.
Rates:
Alignment: 150
Balancing: 40 Rs per tire including the weights. This for stock rims (Swift).

Will scan the "result" sheet of the alignment and put up here for reference

Total: 310 bucks and 20 mins. Satisfied myself with a test drive on the expressway.

Thanks guys for the help !!

Indica trouble

Hi all
I need some advice. Thought maybe you guys could help me.
I have an Indica Xeta GLS (Power Steering).
I recently was driving in Delhi at about 60Km/Hr and my front right wheel went over a huge pot hole and after that jerk, I realised that to keep my car going straight, I had to keep my steering turned about 10 degrees to the left.
No more problems apart from this. And this is the first time this has happened to me. Before the incident, my steering used to be normal.

I was wondering if this problem could be related to wheel alignment?
Please enlighten me.

Thanks a ton.
Sugam.
