I need advice on the tyre selction
My requirements in order of priority:
  1. Safety (one which is least prone to blow-outs, good traction on slippery surface etc. I will come across bad roads occassionally. I won't do very high speeds)
  2. Comfort (as against performance. But I will be happy if I can get both )
  3. Cost (should be within 4500/tyre)
  4. Road noise
  5. Durability
I was advised to go for Bridgestone Turanza by Honda person but the tyre dealer is asking me to take a look at BF Goodrich.
I too am on the hunt for the same and i liked the Michelin Primacy for its features. I was told by the dealer that it is better in performance than the MXV8 and that MXV8s are discontinued. I need expert advice from the tyre gurus. Please help. I have the following options:
1. Michelin Primacy ( i am assuming Pilot Primacy and not MXV4 as Pilot Primacy is the only one listed)
2. Yokohama A Drive
3. BF Goodrich

Actually the latest launch in the market is the Primacy LC. The MXV8 is being phased out.

Guys, I have booked the ANHC (white) and am having trouble finding a good set of alloys. I like the Lenso Samurai SC01 DFS but not a dealer in mangalore who has got them.

two doubts here for the gurus:

1. do the samurais suit the ANHC for 15" wheels ( specs given below)
2. anybody know where i could get a set of these.

Warranty will not be affected but they advised me to stick to the stock size (effective dia) and go for only up to 195 (width).
I saw a car which was fitted with 205 and the wheel was sticking outside the car.

Finally. I fitted the Primacy LC today on my ANHC 195/60/R15. Got a good buy back deal on my old ones. Phew what a relief.
These tyres look gorgeous and increase the ride height by around 6mm and very silent too.

Take a look at the SC02 and the SC05 too. SC 02 looks great on the ANHC.

Which is the alloy? I had liked LG-119 (League) but it seem to be an old design and nomore available.

SC01 looks great too. I have changed my tyres as i got a very good buyback deal and the best price for the new ones..Believe me i have checked almost all tyre shops in Bangalore for Michelins (Pilot Primacies, XM1+s and MXV8s) since Jan 30th and this is by far the best. Changed to Primacy LC 195/60 R15. Tyres were a priority as i would not have got the rate if they had run a lot. The best rates for the Lenso's are from Sai Iyenger (Nithin) on Banerghatta Road. I am doing some more hunting on the Lensos before i call it enough and succumb to my emotions.. By the way for a hundred more bucks more you could get their membership and avail of 3 Nitrogen fills, 3 puncture repairs, 3 alignments and 3 balancings valid for a year. I feel it is a good deal. Guys keep the network going so that we get a good deal on the Lensos.

Does 27K include fitting and necks and the other stuff? I still think it is a bit on the higher side..

Here you go... Sai Iyengar and Sons, Nithin G Balaji - 9945378168, Banerghatta Road, 1st Cross Bilekahalli...

Saw an ANHC in my locality with some nice alloys. Didn't get a chance to click a pic, but it looked nice - multi-spoke design with silver + hyper-black finish.
What caught my eye was the Honda logo in the centre. Is Honda selling alloys as an option with the ANHC?

They do. The design has a 'Y' kind of spoke which is partially machined on the face.

Hey all,

My folks bought an ANHC-E a couple of days ago. I was reading the owner's manual and under the 'Tyres' heading, it mentioned that if the wheels are changed to alloys, only Honda alloys should be used and not generic 3rd-party alloys. The reason? " because they [aftermarket alloys] are a universal design, they can cause stress to the suspension"-- or words to that effect.

Is there likely to be any truth in that, or merely a ploy to:

(a) Sell Honda accessories at absurd prices (someone said 11k per alloy?)

(b) Provide an excuse to void warranty if the owner does go in for 3rd-party aftermarket alloys?

It's (a). Don't believe any of that crap, as long as you get good quality wheels in the correct PCD there is no issue with you getting after market wheels. And unless you put in something like a 17 or 18" wheel there is no way they can void the warranty.
