Can i put 165/70/r13 tyres on alloys that say they need 175/70/r13's ?

Basically my standard wheels require 165/70/r13 but when i got two replaced they put 175/70/r13.So i know you can get 175's on 165 wheels. But im buying some alloys that say they need 175/70/r13 so obviously i can put the two i currently have straight on but can i put the other two 165/70/r13's straight on aswell ?

solve.

There'll be a problem only if your new rim width is more than 5.5" (<6").
If it's 5.5" or less, then no problem.

Can you please tell us the width of the stock wheels to advise you better on this? And 165/175 will work fine on any wheel with a width of 5 or 5.5J.

Theres no sense in having tyres of diff sizes. The diameter of 165/70 R13 will be smaller than 175/70 R13 which makes for an uneven ride height. Moreover, the brake balance and suspension setup of a car is designed to work with the same tyre size on all 4 wheels, changing this car cause the car to behave abnormally while braking and cornering.

U might as well buy 2 more 175/70 R13s.

Yes, that's what I meant. Your tyres will fit just fine but consider what Shan2nu has written.
If you drive a FWD car, then it's better to have same tyres all around.

That means that if your new allys are 5.5J then both 165 & 175 section tyres can go on it just fine. But if they are 6J or 6.5J then that's an issue.
