you can go for 14 inch wheels ,you get to upgrade to a wider wheels in 14 than 13 inch ,wider tyres gives a advantage of good grips, good styling to the car ,try out for Bridgestone potenza GIII 205/60/R14 these are really good tyres.

nithz have youu ever sat in a car with g3s?

bullboy i doubt it.

i think 195/60 r14 would be the right upgrade (eh tyrebhagwaan?) and you can try michelin mx1s in that size. they will give you good comfort.

Best upsize for Ikon TDCi IMO:
185/60-14
Michelin XM1 or Michelin PP2 depending on the budget and requirements.

kpzen has given the right upsize limit. Dont go any further with the upsize.

If the dealer still plays spoilsport, as with bullboy's case, ask them to go get a life.
How silly can they get!

Are you planning to go for alloys as well? In that case, it is better to look for 14 inch as the options for 13 inch for Ikon (108 pcd) are very limited.

As far as warranty is concerned, this is what I heard from Ford Customer Care:
Quote:
We wish to inform you that this conversion is recommended only with this Ford approved alloy wheel 14" is possible provided the vehicle sale date is after Feb 2003. Kindly contact our dealerships to have the conversion carried out.
PS: The query was regarding tyre upsize for Ikon 1.3 Flair (2007)

Well as long as you change and maintain the same overall circumference to the current one things (upsize from R13 to R14 and move to a lower profile tyre) shouldn't make a difference for your drive ratios.

But yes manufacturers and dealers are sometimes finicky if you change to a different size. It's more then upto you if you want to take the risk and your peace of mind.
