Honda City 2006 - The Right Tire/Size

Hi,

I have a Honda City 2006 iDSI MT. It currently has the stock tires (General P165/80/r13) in place. Im looking to upgrade the rims and the tires, my research yielded answers to most of my questions however some remain unanswered. I would be grateful for anyone who can help me out with the following queries:

- Upgrading to 15" rims - what adverse effects will it have with respect to: load on engine, pick and fuel consumption.

- Width/Profile - is 195/60/r15 OK or should i stick to 185 in terms of width.

- Tires - I have finalized Yokohama S Drive and Yokohama ES100 as the final choices. which one should i go for and any other suggestions?

thanks in advance.

The OE size for the City is 175/65 R14, if you have 165/80 R13 tyres then they are the incorrect size.

Like iraghava mentioned, your stock tire size should be 175/65R14.
The correct upsizes in 14" are 185/60R14 and 195/60R14 while the correct upsize in 15" is 195/50R15.
You can even try 195/55R15 even though it has slightly more error, but will give you a better ride comfort.Though check whether this size doesnt foul with your wheel arches.
