@funda2max, If you looking to go in for 14" wheels, I would suggest League as they have a lot of good designs in 14" an good finishing compared to Plati Aura. HR is also another good make.

i just got Plati 14" for 11.5K for a set of 4. Check them out in alloy show off thread.

So a set of 5 can be easily bought within 20K even if its chrome finish ( they are expensive than black and silver ones).

I double checked with the ford guys again. He says that 15" cannot be fitted. I am actually puzzled now. I thought 195/55/R15 looks really cool than the stock 175/65/R14.
He says the alloys from ford will cost me around 10K for a set of 4.

Is the drive going to get harsh if i go for 15". Secondly it is also going to void my warrantly on suspension if I went for 15".

I have booked fiesta. I want to keep the orginal tyres for the moment(175/65/R14. But I want to upgrade to alloy wheels. After running the original tyres for 25K kms I want to upgrade the size of the tyres. 185/60/R14.

Yes I have decided to stick to 14 inchers.

What is the alloy wheels size is should buy. Should it be 14*5.5 of should it be 14*6

What is the difference between the two?

@pshyamsundar, the 5.5 and 6 is the width of the wheel(rim) in inches.

The wider the rim. the wider the tyre will open up to. If the rim is small and the type is wide, then the type will balloon out a bit.

Here is a pic of 15" alloys on my fiesta (205/50/15)i had not faced any problem till now it's a year old.The driving will be little hard if you go for 15".

Audiophile, That is why I am asking the question. If I buy an alloy whch is 14*6 for example can i fit both 175 & 185 tyres.

I assume that 6 inch width of alloy wheels if you convert into millimeters 6*25.4 = 152.4
So can a 14*6 alloy wheel take a 175 or 185 mm wide tyre

@pshyamsundar, a 185 mm tyre will fit well in the 14*6 compared to the 175.
I have also used 195mm on a 15*6.5 which fits beautifully.
