Ported Head, there are loads of Contis! They have been officially launched in the market.

They are available from 13" onwards. Most of the fast moving sizes are available. Not too many for upsizing though.

155/65 R13, 155/70 R13, 175/70 R13, 185/70 R14, 175/65 R14, 195/60 R14, 195/60 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17, 235/70 R16, 185/60 R14, 195/65 R15, etc...etc...

Models launched are Conti EcoContact 3, Conti Premium Contact (1 and 2), Conti Sport Contact 2, Conti Cross Contact AT. I may have missed out on one or two.

Ricky - 205/60 R15 is the incorrect size for the Swift. You'll probably have scraping issues.

Ported Head, they are more expensive than the Yokos in most cases but much cheaper than the Michelins. Some sizes(like the 155/70 R13) are very well priced though.

Overall, given that in the international market, Conti commands a premium not unlike Michelin, their pricing in India is pretty good.

I got that from the Tyre Upgrade excel sheet. Anyway so what should I go for ? 205/55/15 ??

According to the tyre calculator the upsize is within tolerance of 1.33% of the OE size, which in my case is 185/70/14

I wanted to know how the Apollo Accelere is in terms of ride comfort, build quality, grip & price. Do they come anywhere close to the Yoko's ??

205/55 is a good upsize and Accelere's are quite good too. Haven't done back-to-back reviews against the Yoko so can't comment on that.

A-Drives would be more in the range of XM1. But, why you want to look at XM1 when you have XM1+ and these are supposed to give you 25% additional FE and also better comfort.

Price-wise A-Drives would be comparable to XM1 but, XM1+ would be on the higher side.

I recently changed to XM1+ and loving it every bit since then.

XM1+ gives you 25% better Fuel efficiency? How do you say that?!?!

The only difference between XM1 and XM!+ is that the plus has 1.6mm of extra tread.

Mobike - Even given that the XM1+ is designed to be a low rolling resistance tyre, there is no way in the world they can give you a 25% boost in FE! All that is marketing talk. Do not expect anything more than a percent or two of difference if that.

^^^I guess what he means is 25% better than the efficiency that XM1 afforded. Eg.: if XM1 improves efficiency by say 5% over other tyres, the XM1+ would give an additional 1.25%

The rim size is 14", and I was trying to compare the XM1+ with the A.drives.

Ishan, I believe both the tires are silica-based, meaning that there'd be a sliiiiight boost in FE, correct? Either way, I don't care about it. I'm interested in how they compare as far as durability and ride comfort/handling (especially over rough terrain) go.

I'm not even considering each of their warranty periods.

the warranties for both are essentially useless. for tyres bulges prevention>>>cure , as warranty replacements will never happen, and its expensive shelling out the bucks yourself.
