@ bubby - there is tyre mart in gurgaon which seems an upmarket shop but competitve quotes. thanks for sharing details on star wheels - will get a quote for the turanza/a drive in 185/70 from them for comparison.

Opposite to Sector 14 (Opposite to ICICI/Huda office) There is a tire shop (competitive prices) where I got my Michelin. Make up your mind and then go talk else he does not know much about upgrades. His name is Baljeet and number is 9999143500. If you want to give my reference just say, you got it from a guy in Sector 15. He will understand.

Yeah. A-Drive is surely available in 195/65 R14. And price should be somewhere around 3.5K.

I got the A drives on my Octavia over the weekend (205/65/15). Was initially thinking of Michelin Primacy LCs but then a few horror stories related to the tyre's weak sidewalls emerged and I ditched the idea.

I was previously running Bridgestone Turanza ER60 (225/60/15) which had clocked 45k kms. The stock size for Octavia is 196/65/15. Post the change the steering feels lighter - which I guess is primarily because of the downsize. The bigger Bridgestones were taking a toll on steering and slightly on the pick-up as well. Hence the downsize. The wider Bridgestones were a real looker though

Overall I am pleased with the change. I can't comment on the handling etc. because I have hardly clocked 100 kms on the new tyres and also because of the fact that I went in for a downsize so can't say if it will be a valid comparison between the broader Bridgestones and the current A drives.

The Yoko's are slightly less wider if you compare it with the same size of other brands. I think Yoko A drive 205 would only slightly more wider than 195 E60's. That must have added to the lighter feel on the steering. WOuld really look forward to hear ho the A Drives perform on a Skoda.

i got swift vdi and upsized to 195/65/14 after using tyre calcuator and suggestions from other members here. I'm using yokohama tyres A-Drive.

But i find the ride to be not so great. i find it stiff as compared to stock tyres. i beileve stock on swift ddis is 165/80/14.

I read about your expericene with A-drives. I find the ride is harsh and i can feel all the bumps on the road. All the thuds give me shocks when driving. I mean its not that bad but i'm sure there is a better tyre out there which can give me a better & softer ride on my Swift DDis.

Did anyone experience similar stiff ride with A-Drives ?

What tyre pressure psi are you using ?

I drive in mumbai and the roads here are as close to non existent..!

I'm really looking out for a trye which will give me the softest ride possible.

What are my other options at 195/65/14 which would give a softer ride ? I want to stay at 195 because it just very slightly comes out from the side and that gives the car along with the alloys a sporty look and appeal. I find the even the 185 on the Petrol Zxi looks quite puny and weak.

got my stock swift vdi tires upgraded to 185/70 R14. pretty good upgrade. i am happy with the handling, smoothness and less noise.

. Just that there is 1 km drop in my FE

rana...I just found the tyre noise to be on the higher end, restwise with regard to handling, comfort and roadgrip, I am satisfied ! Its a VFM product. Michelins would be softer and I presume should give more comfort and lesser noise ! Try Nitrogen with pressure 28 instead of 30, should make your ride lesss bumpier, this is again as per my experience.

Upgraded my Swift VXi from stock 165/80R14 JK Tornado (run 41500 kms) to Yokohama A.Drive 185/70R14. (AA01 pattern)

Purchased from Lokmanya Auto, opp. Garware college, Pune.
I was really impressed with the transparency in dealing & prompt service.

Li'l story before I went for it :
Called-up Yoko Delhi office (searched for Yoko site.... but no luck. As usual, Team-BHP has all the information

) & they gave me Yoko Mumbai office no. Ringed Mumbai office, had a nice chat with a guy who provided me Lokmanya Auto's number, plus also told me the least price they can offer (It was 3280 per tyre).
Went to Lokmanya, today morning & asked for the best possible deal they can offer me. To my surprise, the owner told me that he received a call from Yoko Mumbai office & NOW his best offer is 3200 per tyre.

What else I can ask for ? I Put-down my money straight-away !

Checked out Mfg. Month on Tyre (again Team-BHP effect ..) & it reads 5109 ( i.e. Dec 09, isn't it ?). Talk to owner @ warranty & he confirmed it's 4 years from Date of Sale.

And then he took-out a box which contained Sun-glasses (has a CAT logo on it, Mfg. by Inspecs Ltd. UK.) & handed it over to me. He said its the promotional offer from Yoko .. I took it as bonus, as this was not the reason to buy Yoko's ( I saw some of the people buy Michelins only coz of some ***** promotional offers & hence the comment). Thanked him again & here I crank my car to head Nasik (my home).

I have driven these tyres only for 250 odd kms, so I'll update about my experience once run for at-least 1k kms.
