Does the Yokohama A-drive come in 195/50 R15 size for the Fiesta?

Which tyre brand/model would you recommend in this size for the Fiesta 1.6 ZXi Petrol? Priority is ride quality and durability and performance, in that order.

Not much options available in 195/50-15
AFAIK, only Yoko S drives are available in that size officially. Rest everything would be in grey market.

If your priority is ride quality to start with, then i would suggest you to stick with 14".
185/65-14 or 195/60-14.

Thanks. Yesterday I drove a Fiesta 1.6S with 195/55 R15 OE Alloys+Conti CPC2 and the ride quality is ok for me.

What would be best option in 195/55 R15?

175/65 R14 Vs 195/55 R15
Speedometer Difference: 2.141% too slow
Diameter Difference: 2.1%

Is this fine?

In 195/55 15, you'll lose some of the ride as the side wall height is reduced.

The best upsize seems to be 195/60 14 but if you want more bling, get 195/55 15.

The S-drive is available in 195/55 15.

PS: What is your rim size ? If its 5.5 J then both 185/195 will be a straight fit.

I was just referring to your stock rims.

6.5J would be good for 195. Refer to the rim width range in my previous post.

I agree.
I have shod my Baleno with the same diameter as the original R13, moved from the stock 165/80 to 185/70/R13. The difference in grip is phenomenal.
Your scraping issue is never going to go away, it's the silencer that touches, as it has an unusual bend somewhere in the middle. Just learn to take it slow, sometimes very slow, over speed breakers.

B. I guess that Swift steel rims (14") should fit your car well. Maybe you switch to that size and get 185/65R14 tires. I am skeptical that 185/70R14 tires will foul with the rear wheel well at full load / touch the front wheel well inside wall at full lock.

Easiest to find is to go to the nearby Maruti shop, request the guy to give your Baleno a test ride with Swift tires and then decide.

Got a set of 4 yokohama A drive 185/65/14 today @ Rs 3400 per tyre along with swift black rims+wheel covers @ Rs 500 for a set of 4 after exchange of old wheels. Free nitrogen filling, wheel balancing alignment along weights and valves was offered.

The difference felt was immediate, even as I sat on to the driver's seat, i could feel sitting at a higher level! Earlier size was 185/70/13 BS Potenza which had more than run their life. he drive back home was much smoother and comfortable.

I am ruing why i didn't switch earlier as a few month back the same tyre was available for around Rs 2950! Tyre prices seem to be rising every two months now.

Now my query is

1. I have retained the best 185/70/13 as stepney, could it be safely used in case of emergency along with current 185/65/14?

2. What is the tyre pressure recommnedation for Baleno runing 185/70/13. the owner manual recommended 2.2 (around 29 PSI) for165/80/13. The tyre dealer insisted on filling 30! I let him as I've got a pressure guage and I can always lower it myself. What is the ideal recommendation for Baleno,keeping in mind that I drive on highways once a week.

Yes, it can be used but please dont drive the car at high speeds and / or for long distances.

30 is good. Baleno recommendation for 185/65R14 (it was an OEM size for Baleno VXI) is 25 psi in city and 29 on highways. In practice I have seen that 28 - 30 psi give a good balance of ride and handling. If you want to have bit more cushion, drop to 28 psi and see.

I've now driven about 7.5k km on my A Drives (185/70 R14) and am quite happy with how the tyres behave at high speeds except that they have become a bit noisy. At about 120 kph on NH4 a few days back the noise was noticeable and I initially thought it was from the ac blower. The tyres get a bit noisy after about 5k km of use but not enough to distract you. Under 100kph there is hardly any noise.
I also drove over 50 km of broken village roads and 6 km of dirt roads. The tyres inspired confidence but I did not push it beyond a point for fear of damaging the suspensions. Had a bit of a party and raised quite a bit of dust on the mud roads!

My request to all who suffer tire noise in A.Drives to try C.Drives at a marginally higher price. Even after 17k kms, I am very very happy with the complete lack of tire noise in my Innova.

Of course I must add that vehicle body insulation also plays its role in the noise that you hear and it is not apples to apples that way at all!

Unfortunately the choices in 14" seem to be rather limited. When I changed my tyres 4 months back C & S drives were not available in 14. Would have actually preferred the C because of my overall driving style, but...
Edit: The A drives exceeded my expectations on dirt roads. I was pleasantly surprised.
