Here you go...

Initial impression: The ride quality is waaaaay better ! Steering has become smoother even though I have upsized Haven't tested the grip levels yet as car has now gone for a brake pad change.

Congrats Sahil. But how is the ride compared to the Primacy-HP on your 520D?
Did you look up tirerack? I dont see the PP2's in the options for your size. Are these made in the far east only?
Max perfomance and Grand touring is the only real difference in the 2 tires, and I guess a Beemer owner would obviously prefer the sound of "max Perfomance" over "grand touring"!
Neway Enjoy Sahil. Alloys look good with the Mazda job.

I think the HP's are slightly more comfy, but it's really too early to comment. I only took a short spin last night when the car came back and early this morning I sent it for the brake pad change. I'm off to the states tomo night so there will be a delay before I can post a proper feedback. Once I'm back the monsoon will start which will be a good test for these tyres.

Yes these tyres are made only for far east hence they do not appear on tirerack. Also this size was very recently introduced in India because the soon to be launched 2009 E class will have the exact same tyre and size. They are available right now only on special order.

Re: BMW tyre change+upsize

How have PP2s been, Sahil?

Anyone still with the Yokohama Advan Sports 245/45/17? Yokos are sadly on shortage and require waiting period of 20+ days here. Inquired various dealers in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, etc. Anyone knows the Chandigarh (or New Delhi) dealer's number?

The pp2s are near the end of their life. Have started a new thread for the new set here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...ml#post2347828

Re: BMW tyre change+upsize

Reactivating a pretty old case :-

For, BMW 7 Series, what is the price of Brake disk pads for all the tires? I heard that in the open market its around 2.5 L at Hyderabad. Is there any cheap option available (authentic parts). If so, please advise.
