260/70/r15 tyres. sir i think these tyres are for safair or Scorpio because profile is too much for a car tyre in 15 inch category. please double check that. 205/55/15 would be sweet on lancer.

Sammy a few questions for you:

1. What car are you talking about?

2. What is a "Spokes Aloy"?

3. What modifications are you talking about?

4. There is no 260 size for car tyres. Can you please check & report the correct size?

And one tip fpr you, next time please take the time out to check & correct you posts to make them legible & understandable to other members. It doesn't require too much time & frankly posts like the one abbove by you are bloody irritating to read.

You know, an aloy with a spokes. It's one of the modes that helps in seroius performance.

@jatt_ambersaria: i would think 13 or 14 would be the max... anything more would not be advisable.
However, i'm not an expert on zens or rim upsizing for that matter
experts... pls advise!

Dazed and Confused..

Hi Guys..

My first post on this forum as a last resort to find the right answers to my many questions. Ok so here goes. I just picked up a Swift Diesel with terrible R14/165/80 JK tyres. I'm sure i want to upsize and change from rims to alloys. Here are my questions. Whoever can answer all of them and not confuse me further gets free drinks for the whole of may :P

1) Should i stick to R14/195/70 or is it okay to upsize to R15/195/60 with respect to ride comfort, pickup and mileage.

2) All the foriegn models of Swift come with R15/185/60 as standard fitment so is the R14 in india attributed to our bad roads ?

3) What are the advantages and disadvantages of changing over to R14 alloy wheels and just increasing the width of the tyre ?

4) Which is better in terms of overall performance for indian conditions ( bad roads / wet conditions) when you compare Michelin Pilot Preceda to Potenza G III and GoodYear F1 tyres.

Thanks in Advance. If some of these questions have already been answered, please be kind enough to show me where.

Aditya

Hi guys,
I want to fit Yokohama 175/60/R13 on my Wagon-R. Current stock tyres are 145/70/r13. I would like to know if there will be any decrease in FE if put the above tyres. If so, how much decrease? Is the tyre noise is high with these tyres?

Thanks

Ravi - I don't think the WagonR cam accomodate 175's without any wheel arch scraping especially under heavy loads but if you want you can try it once. Correct upsize for you car is

155/65-13
165/60-13

I suggest you get either of them in a good brand and they should serve you well.

Thanks Raghava,
WasavaTyres here in team-bhp is using the same tyres above and that is why I asked. Then, I do not want to take any risk, I will opt for 165/60/13.

hi! I am planning to upsize tires on swift vdi, which is still to be delivered. It comes stock with 165/80/R-14 tubeless hopeless JK tyres.

1) Is it possible to ask dealer to deliver car with Bridgestone or MRF, who are other OE supplier to Maruti?

2) What are the best possible options and their impact on handling, suspension, fuel economy and other aspects which I am not aware of? Please guide me.

3) I would like to trade my stock rims and rubber with the new ones.( read somewhere it is better to sell original to some shop other then to the one where you are buying new rims and tyres from)

4) How much will it cost and can someone suggest me good places in and around gurgaon or is it best to get it done from delhi( again recommendations please).

Guys I want to upgrade to 165/60R12 71H form my stock tyres for my M800.This is an option that is given by bridgestone .I want go for potenza gIII.(on the site)

My stock tyres are 145/70R12 69S. Do you think I can make the change without doing any change on my stock rims because im not planning on changing the rims. Also I was using tubed tyres and GIII is tubeless.

What mods are neccesary to facilitate this?

Please advise.

@fiery_enzyme: the tyre upsize u mentioned is the correct one.

regd the rims, it's always advisable to go run tubeless tyres on alloys. the rim width has to be between 4.5J and 6J. dunno the stock rim size on a M800, but if it is anything less than 4.5, u gotta change them (good excuse to upgrade to alloys )
