Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I recently put continental UC6 185/70/r14 on my ritz and I have to say that the grip of the car has increased significantly. The car came with 165/80/R14 so compared to that it does feel like an upgrade.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I am looking to replace the wheels on my 2013 Ritz VDI. TBH, I originally wanted to let her go after I upgraded to a bigger vehicle somehow I simply couldn't.

I hope wider tires could offer slightly better ride comfort since I would frequently do Chennai - Bangalore trips.
I guess my vehicle has got about 20-30K in her. So, here I am caught between the 15" & 16" wheels.
I will switch to 185/65/R15 or 195/55/R15 tires. I will follow up on the tires on my next post

Reasons:
15" as an upgrade would only be marginally bigger than the stock 14" & not sure how it would affect the ride quality.
16" could be too big of an upgrade that might cause the tyres to flirt with the wheel wells. I am convinced I might have to upgrade the suspension to make a 16" wheel fit.

I currently have this in mind - https://www.marutisuzuki.com/genuine...3210m79m50-27n.

I'd love to hear the experiences of other owners.

More than the width sidewall plays a vital role here.

I have hands on experience with both the sizes and I would suggest to go with the former.

Whoa! that was too quick. Pardon me, it is my first post since joining & I definitely wasn’t expecting a response this soon.

That's upto individual's choice.
Saying so, I'm using 195/55R16 for over 2 years now and I would say I'm neither satisfied nor dissatisfied
+ Looks good and rides well in good roads, handles good in corners
- Bit harsh in rough roads
