.
I've got my Suzuki Ritz, its come with with 165 / 80 R 14 JK Tornado's.

I had called up a dealer in New Delhi he's offering me Rs: 1600/- per tire for the old one's. How good is this offer ?

I have the following requirements (Listed in order of importance):

1. Price
2. Efficiency
3. Tread Life
4. Ride Quality

The car would be driven by the chauffeur 95% of the time.

Average daily running of about 80-100 kms (Highway/city combined)

Which tire would be most suitable based on the above criterion ?

.

1600/- is a decent price.

I would suggest the Apollo Aceleres and the A drives. The XM1+ loses out only on price. Otherwise, it would be the best tyre for comfort.

Sir,

I am a bit low on budget. I am planning an ICE upgrade in the SX4, hence the XM1+'s won't be possible as they are expensive.

How much would the Acceleres, A-Drive and Bridgestone Turanza ER-60 and Potenza G3 cost ??

Size: 185 / 70 R 14

I am getting A.Drives for 3250/-, Acceleres for 3300/- and the XM1+ for 3900/-

Buy back for my old tires is 1600/-

The A.Drive's are being offered with a 5 year warranty as well.

I'll most probably be going in for the A.Drives.

Thanks for the help, Sir.

Dont do this "sir" business with me!

Just call me Nikhil. That's enough!

A drives are a good option.

15 '' alloys

Is it ok to upgrade to 15'' alloy for Ritz ?
And if its ok, what will be the correct upsize ?
The reason i'm asking for 15'' for Ritz , it that,i want to put lenso alloys and it looks like lenso doesn't come in 14'' or the choice of ally are very limited .

Kindly advise

Cheers.

Thanks Nikhil.
And one more thing, 15'' wheels will effect the performance of the car in a +ve way for -ve way ?
If you could kindly list the +ves and -ves , that will be a great help.

Cheers

Schoudhury,
Buddy I happen to own the Ritz which I purchased in Nov 2009. I can only suggest you not to go for 15" wheels for one reason i.e "Car WARRANTY". Even I was in your position till a couple of months back. Even I wanted to install 15 inchers with my car. Firstly as far as the performance of the car is concerned it should definitely improve with much better overall handling. Though a marginal decline in fuel efficiency is to be expected. I had spoken to a senior Maruti Engineer at the company owned Maruti service station at Naraina New Delhi about installing the 15 inchers. He advised me not to go for an upsize as Maruti could void the warranty incase a problem happens with the car in future. So I went ahead and installed 14 inchers. Would upload some pics of the car soon.

Schoudhary,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I agree with Wingsoffire. Going for 15" on a Ritz is pointless. I would say the 185/70 R14 Michelin XM1+ or Conti CEC3 is perfect for the car. Extremely comfortable and decent grip as well.

XM1+ is 3800/- per tyre. You can get about 2200 for the 185/70 R14 JKs.
