Naveen,
I suggest you also look at Yokohama A Drives. I got a Ritz for a friend 3 days back with standard 165 80 R14's. I helped him in getting Yoko's installed only yesterday for a price difference of 6000 Rs for four tyres ( 185/70 R14 ). I have the same tyres installed in my Ritz Lxi that I got last year and the performance of the tyres definitely is much better compared to the standard JK's.

Thanks Nikhil for the details. Can you let me know if you know any good tyre shops in Bangalore? You can PM me the details. I remember there was a thread also about it. Trying to find it.

Wingsoffire,

Thanks for the tip. I am using XM1+ on our swifts for some time now. You can say i have a liking or a soft corner for Michelins

Thanks Nikhil and wingsoffires . Appreciate your help on this .
I was really confused over it .
Ok then, i would stick to the 14'' only. For the time being planning to just get a good set of alloys and will keep the stock JK for sometime .

Will get a thread created shortly with all the details.

Cheers.

Guys, how will 195/60 R14's suit the Ritz in terms of ride comfort and FE ? Are S-drives available in this size and profile ? and lastly can anybody suggest a good tire guy for both alloys and tires in Pune...

Ritz is heavier than its counterparts, also with the upgrade it will definitely impact the FE . The ride comfort may be stiffer depending on where u drive.

S drives are not available. also, 195/60 R14 is the wrong size for Swift. You need 195/65 R14.

Right. Ride quality with 195/60 R14 will be really bad. Even with 195/65 R14, it will be worse than 185/70 R14.

I'm driving Swift with Michelin XM1+ 185/70 R14s and the comfort and handling is just brilliant. I'm assuming the size of the Ritz tyres are the same as Swift and there's nothing better than Michelin XM1+ 185s and alloys would look better than how they would look on stock tyres.

Hi All,

I will be upgrading my tyres on my Ritz Vxi that came with Bridgestone Tyres as OEM. I understand here in the forum that many of your cars came with JK tyres. Has MUL changes the OEM tyre from JK to Bridgestone.

Also will be upgrading to MOMO alloys with Michelin Energy XM+.

Can any one faced problem of keeping the spare wheel in right position like the Maruti stock wheel. I am worried if I upgrade for Michelin with 185X70X14 will the spare will be accommodated or not? The other question is that I want to upgrade the above in the steel Rim not on Alloys. Will it work.

There shouldn't be any problem in keeping the spare wheel since Ritz ZXI already comes factory fitted with 18/70/R14

just upgraded to Michelin 185/70 and the comfort it's drawing is amazing...!!

Could anyone confirm if the bolt that secures the spare tyre in the dickey can be sourced from the ZXI variant ?

I recently changed my stock rims on my Ritz to Neo Dizzy Black Machined red Lip 14"X5.5" alloys, using the stock JK rubbers for the time being and have few quires for same .
1.What should be tyre pressure that i should maintain for the same for the same ?
2. Also i have noticed that the Tyre are slightly projected outwards, not sure if this normal or there is something that needs to be checked or adjusted .

Has any one else also noticed the same on their Ritz after the tyre or alloy upgrade .
Also when i change the rubbers to 185/70 R14 from the stock 165/80 R14 will it get more projected outwards.
I thought upgrading to ZXI size alloys was perfectly safe .
Please advise .

It is more than one year since i started this thread and my car has clocked 25K today. I would say Michelin XM1+ are awesome. I never noticed any wear and tear in the tyres evern after 25K, they still look new. Thanks Nikhil for pointing the right set of tyres.
