C drives are good. Why are you saying the reviews are not encouraging?

re: Fiat Punto : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

many people have complained about sidewall damage and shorter tread life.
How are they in comparison to a drives , goodyear assurance ?
and is there any chance of c drive 2 to be launched in india , or earth 1 in 195/60/15

Assurance is very different. SLightly harder compound. C Drive 2 will not come anytime soon. A Drives are also harder than C drives.

If you are worried about sidewall and life, then think about the Assurance.

1 more question what is the advantage of going for xm2 over c-drives?
is it worth the price difference ?

What you lose out on ride comfort you make up for in ruggedness. The C drive is softer, better ride comfort. However the XM2 is more rugged.

I have Michelin PLC and I am very happy with them compared to the stock Goodyear GT3.

Replaced the 195/60/15 GT3 with Yokohama c drives . The ride comfort and road noise improved drastically.Cannot comment much about the wet/dry grip at high speed, not gone out of the city yet.I am happy with this choice of tires .
Recommended for people looking for ride comfort

re: Fiat Punto : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hey guys.

I have a Punto 1.4 Emotion Pack which has stock 15'' rims. It is due for a tire change on all 4 corners. Has anyone here upsized from the stock 195/60 r15 to a larger tire size for the same rim?

Thanks in advance.

re: Fiat Punto : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I am looking for changing the tyres of my Punto since the car is now 3 years old. Have decided to go for 185/70R14.

I am considering the following brands - Yokohama A drive, MRF Zlo and Appolo Acelere. From these, which one will give better grip and ride comfort?

I would suggest Yoko Earth 1 or Michelin XM2, they are good comfort-oriented tyres.

Earth1 is available only at P 185/65R 14 - I don't want to go lower than 70 since I already scrap my cars underbelly (My Punto is pre-GC lift model). Michelin is out of budget :(
