BMW E32 Tyre Problems....

Ok i have an E32 7 series BMW, the problem is the car is fitted with the TRX alloy wheels, and they have the Michelin TRX Metric tyres fitted to them, now on my car the tyres are almost done, and i need to replace them.....
Problem no. 1 Very hard to get TRX tyres nowadays, found a set in UK 250 sterling each, without tax this side........

Can anyone help me find out the correct offset and pcd for this car so i can look at some aftermarket alloys.... as BMW dealers here have not been to helpful or actually bothered to be any assistance......

Michelin TRX tyres are very rare - you are better off going in for after market alloys + normal spec tyrs. Try and preserve the overall radius and stick to 70+ % profile - Suspension may not take lower profiles. Suppose the tyre is 225/70VR360 - 360 is the diameter in mm. Find the nearest dia in inches and you are nearly there. You need to shop around for the right offset

e32 problems

try this website BMW E32 Links

your questions should be answered in the "Wheels and Tires" section.

its an excellent site, and i've used it a number of times for help on our E38.

there are a lot of common problems that have been solved, in addition to simple DIY mods and face-lifts. sure helps save a bunch of money rather than taking it to the BMW Service Center.

Hey Sivsk_E36M3,

If i were you i would go with option 2 - ie buying new alloys and tires.
TRX tires are rare, and therefore expensive and arent anywhere as technologically advanced as most other tires today.

Regarding finding the right offset & PCD, how about you just look at the back of the wheel itself, chances are it will be written on there!?
