tyre upgrade for m800

hi everybody! can anyone tell me if i can fit 145/80 r12 tyres on my m800 instead of the regular 145/70 r12 ? id read in some auto mag that its ok to fit these tyres n in a way it helps..have also seen a few m800s with these tyre sizes.. also if u can suggest a brand..im thinking of JK ultima xp..pls help me as its time 4 me to change tyres soon.. thanks

Welcome to tbhp yamdoot.

If you change the aspect ratio of your tires (70->80) you wold have a error of almost 6% where the odo and speedo will show 6% less kms and speed respectively that you are actually clocking (with respect to the stock tires).

You will add 14-15mm in ground clearance because of increased overall radius of the wheel.

145/75 R12 may be a better option as far as the error is concerned (less than 3% in that case).

Others can tell you about any benefits of going from 70->80 in terms of ride and handling.
