it was coming from opposite direction ...

but they were 15 inch for sure

you can't fit 185/60 profile on beat ... you can opt for 185 / 50 or 185/55 R 15

why not 185/60 can you please elaborate more on this. 185/50 or 185/55R15 will look amazing on the beat.

Guys heading to Karol Bagh please be cautious of Grey Market imports of Bridgestone, Yoko and Michelin. The prices may be tempting but in the long run, you stand to lose atleast those with Michelin and Yoko. No warranty and since these tyres are not made for India conditions, they're more prone to quick wearing and other problems. Bridgestone's grey market imports from Thailand in Delhi have been successful but it's better to go for tyres from the Official channel.

Please call up BK and ask for the rate, I don't know how much he offers the tyre for. If the difference is not that great, then stick with the dealer you know in Gurgaon. Moreover, before buying do check if the dealer is authorised or not.

Nikhil and Vid, any idea on other wheel specs?

185/60 might touch inner fenders or certain points IMO .. but try it

i'll check before putting them and check the dealers as well. I hope I can find smth in gurgan also Karol Baug, BK and SaiMag are the good options.

Vprodigy, PM Nikhilb2008 or Vid for further information on wheel specs. See Karol Bagh has Cheap Chinese stuff which I like to stay away from. There is one Just Wheels opposite Bikanervala in Karol Bagh which sells Lenso, and you should check out what they have to offer.BK and Sai Mag are other good options before you. Please go through the threads: "Alloy Wheel Shops in Delhi" and "Trip to Sai Mag Wheels".

185/60-14 is the right tyre size. The problem is that 185 width tyres are not suitable on the Beat's alloys as they are only 4.5" wide. For 4.5" rims the max preferred tyre width is 175 hence the recommendation of 175/65-14.

It is not that 185 will not fit. It will definitely fit but the tyre will balloon out too much. Negatives is chance of tyre to slip off the rim, poor handling, overly light steering. The advantage of 185 is lost by putting it on the wrong rim width.

Today i met a guy who said he's changed alloys for a Beat and said that the Beat's PCD is 100. Can anyone confirm this?

I was offered 1500 for the Beat's stock tyres and rim. Is it a good price?

And i was quoted the following prices.
175/65 R14 Michelin xm1+ - 3750

185/60 R14 Yoko C drives - 3750

Are these prices reasonable? Please gurus respond soon, as i'm taking delivery of my car tomorrow

Some Beats are coming with JK Vectras as OE tyres and some with apollo accelere. Their just randomly giving either tyre irrespective of model or colour. But both tyres are 155/70 R14. And as for the delivery of my car, its delayed to next wednesday because of KLN chennai's screw ups.

Azharace --- 3750 for 175/65 R14 XM1+ is a ripoff....

The YOko C Drive price is ok though.

Any Beat LTO owner in NCR planning to sell the OEM alloys then I can buy them. I'm not planning to upgrade the tyres and alloys at this time so will be interested in the OEM alloys if any one of you is planning to upgrade to new alloys/Tyres on the Beat LTO.

I booked Beat LT and waiting for the delivery.
I would like to replace the steel rims with 14"alloys.
I want to retain the OE tyres(155/70 R14) and use the same on alloys (only for better appearance and dont want to compromise on the fuel economy).
Can any of you suggest on the rim width and offset I should look for?
What are the commonly available rim width in 14" category?
What is the maximum possible rim width, which can accomodate 155/70 R14 tyre?
I checked up in Reliance Autozone and found they are having only 6" wide rims for 14".
Can any of you recommend on the brands/shops in Bangalore wherein I can get a narrower rim in the 14" category.

Since the car will be used 100% in city, i want a good set of tyres which enhance its looks & not 22much drop in FE.
My question
1) Can i put 15 inchers, if yes wat is best suited tyre profile?

2) any other best alternative?.

In 14", you will get ONLY 6j rims. You HAVE to upgrade tyres. Otherwise it isnt advisable to fit alloys.

15" is not recommended. The tyre will be very very low profile and it isnt good for your ride quality, suspension or anything.

Get 14" alloys and put 185/60 R14.
