| ![]() Here's the alignment report for my Swift K Series 2010 driven 21K kms. The car sometimes seem alright but many a times pulls to the left with steering also turning left. The pulling is prominent on either roads which are not very smooth or have slight banking. Even on roads which are fine but produce a very minor jerk the car pulls to the left. I have gone back to the car alignment guy and rechecked the machine readings in front of me, the individual camber is slightly out for both (but within limits) as can be seen from the attached report. I remember the machine showing the total camber as out and in red but the guy said the total camber doesn't matter. He also gave up saying the car is fine and I should take it to someone else if I am not satisfied. I think the car is pulling as compared to earlier. One caveat is that the tyres on the front now came from the back for the first time and are flat but one tyre has a tube (due to sidewall puncture) and the other doesn't. Any suggestions would be appreciated. done! |

| ![]() Hi all, i just got the wheels of my 2014 Honda City aligned at a local wheels and tyre center. I chose to get it done outside the HASS due to the relatively better job done by tyre and wheel shops in general. However, on checking the report, I see that there is no major change in the parameters before and after the alignment. On asking the guy he said that the wheels of the city have some moulded alignment thing that cannot be altered and hence the lack of any major difference before and after the alignment. Can experts comment on this? I have a doubt that the alignment is done correctly. I'm attaching the report given by the wheels guy. Thanks in advance. ![]() Last edited by vsathyap : 3rd July 2016 at 18:44. |

You have to go to HASS and get it done. Most outside Alignment shops only adjust the front toe which is usually adjustable. On cars with independent rear suspension, the REAR TOE may also be adjustable and sometimes REAR camber as well. In an Innova, the rear is fixed but the front Toe, Camber and Caster is adjustable. It varies from car to car. On the Honda City, it is only Front Toe which is adjustable.

| ![]() Hi Nikhil, Due to lack of time, I am considering getting WA and WAB done in A.S.S. But its really difficult to trust these guys. Especially considering the volume of cars during the weekend. I might get it it back as is. Is there a way to verify they have indeed done something?. Quote:

Also ask them for an alignment report but it's easy to pass off another vehicle's report as yours.

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Hi folks. Just wanted to know. I recently got wheel alignment done. The Swift ran straight for a week but then started pulling slowly to the left again. Can the screws used for alignment become loose as a car gets old? What permanent solution is there for this? By the way, this activity happened few days after i changed my tyres. That in itself was a terrible experience. Thread below http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...wall-flex.html Cheers |

| ![]() Hi Folks, Planning to take my S-Cross 1.3 for Rotation, Balancing, Alignment today. Does anyone know if all factors of alignment can be done out side of MAS, I ask as some cars like Figo or the one mentioned in this thread have some parameters that cannot be fixed at an external agency. Thanks Kartik |

| ![]() A quick question here, recently while driving my ford figo, i went over a cement brick. Speed was in the lower 30's. I did alignment and balancing after that and they told me my camber values needs to be fixed as there is some bend. These are my values according to them for camber Left -1.31 Right -3.01 Target data for Left and Right -0.30 +/-1.15 They are saying it can only be done at Ford ASS. Is it true? And is it a difficult work and how much money it would cost? If someone could answer this, it would be great. Thanks in advance. |

That looks like a bent strut. Camber is not adjustable in a Figo, they will ask for a strut replacement and if the car has done a lot of kilometers, then struts need to be changed in pairs.

| ![]() Hi all I own a 2012 Skoda Superb 2.0 TDi. Until now, i have been getting the wheel alignment done at the A.S.S. Off late, I have been travelling quite a bit, so I had to get the wheel alignment done outside. I had been to many places but all of them had reference values for the 2007 Skoda Superb (Gen 1). It would be of great help if someone could share the reference values/alignment report for 2012 Skoda Superb (Gen 2). Thanks in advance. |

I have been to Sree Vari Aligners twice and the job was done well. Owner's name is Ganesh Moorthy. Quite a nice chap as well. Annamalayar Tyre Service Company is also well known. Owner's name is Balganesh.

BHPian ![]() | ![]() My 5.5yr old 55000kms run Vista's right rear tyre has started developing a black mark at the outer edge. The outer edge of this tyre alone doesn't get in contact with the road. I usually maintain 32psi at the rear but after this problem tried 30psi but still the problem persists. What could be it. I am sure it's not a alignment problem cos it's a dead axle at the rear for Vista but wanted to check with you guys. |
