Hello Nikhil!

He wants to get rid of the stock steel rims & put in decent alloy wheels. Rim width may not be a problem in this case rite?

@anachronix - Better to check warranty if the tyre size is upgraded.

I would definitely keep a check on that mate. Thanks!

What would be the effect on ride quality if the alloy wheels are upgraded to 15"?

Ride quality will be bad with 15". I wont recommend it.

If you get aftermarket alloys in 14", it will most likely be 14x6j. You can go for 195/60 R14 comfortably in this case.

What are the best tire options available in 195/60 R14 in that case?

I may sound like a broken record, but it has to be the CPC or the CPC2.

Apart from that, the Advan Neovas

The other contenders are XM1+, A Drive, ER 60, ES 100 and Acelere.

All of these are the entry level tyres. The CPC and CPC2 are premium offerings and will be better than these in almost every category. A friend recently fitted the CPC (not the CPC2) in 195/60 R14 on his Lancer and is very very happy with the grip and comfort. Comfort seems to have gone up massively and so has grip.

broken record

I was in fact having the CPC2 in mind. I am yet to drive my car to give an actual feedback on these tires.

Is the CPC2 available in the 185/60 R14 spec as well?

No. In 185/60 R14, you get the Conti CEC. The only size below 15" in which CPC is available is 195/60 R14.

Aroun 4.1k per tyre. About a hundred bucks more for the CPC2.

@Mustang, are you planning this upgrade for the Fusion?

Btw, what would be a safe upgrade for the Figo?

@anachronix : i am planning this upgrade for the fiesta 1.6 that i am buying this may.

According to our company, All tyre/rim upgrades will void warranty if something happens to the suspension etc. but i think that the figo comes with a good tyre size 175/65 R14 & i think its good enough for this hatch unless you do a lot of highway driving, What you can do is get some good quality rubber & dispose off those MRFs/goodyears/apollos.
