i had a Merc E250 D W124 and belive me the oldskool alloys look amazing.
i too had a thought in mind to switch over to AMG Replicas but i went against it as these old skool alloys are quite a looker. just paint them again with silver.
i'm attaching a pic of my car
take a look

Machdar, get in touch with HRS guys (Sai Mag Wheels, New Delhi). They've a wide range of Merc replicas with them manufactured by HR in Taiwan. Check their website: Alloy Wheels, Car Alloy Wheels, Automotive Alloy Wheels, Chrome Alloy Wheels India , www.saimagwheels.com

Machdar, they must be having resellers in BLR. Contact Gautam from Sai Mag and give him the reference of TBHP.

Please don't stretch beyond 16. The W124 isn't exactly a corner carver. It's known for its ride quality which you will substantially compromise with 17s. I'd say 15 or 16 max. Spend some time searching through the forum for pictures of Indian W124s. I've seen plenty wearing good wheels. The ones you like can be listed here; we'll help you with the sourcing.

IMO, go for 16" Black rims with chrome/red lip. Will definitely look gorgeous.

The Brabus rims look yum! I think they are going to be pretty expensive though.

I do not want to blow up too much so guess will look for a black and silver alloy. Do any of you know of an after market brand that can be fitted with the mercedes center cap?

And any recommended brands?

Machdar, the only after market brand which suits your needs is HR aka HRS. They make replica wheels with the Merc Star, contact Sai Mag Wheels (New Delhi) or otherwise come over to Khan Market in New Delhi as I've seen some Merc designs being sold there.

Options for Mercedes W124 E220 alloys

Hi All:
I am new here, but was hoping for some help. I just picked up a really clean E220, from a very close friend, so i know the entire history of the car. The one cosmetic improvement is the wheels - the paint on the alloys is quite bad abd bubbling. Does anyone know of a place in Pune, that can refinsh the wheels? They are the 15" stock wheels.

Alternatively, a good source for replacement 16" alloys, preferably 5 spokes? I dont care if they are replicas, as long as the quality is good. The mileage on this car will be 2000 - 3000 km per year max.

I may want to upgrade the 15" wheels on my 1996 W124. Currently 15's with 195/60/15 Michelins.

Proposed Upgrade:
16" 5 spoke AMG style wheels, 205/55/16 tires, 16 X 7.5" wheel. Currently may be available in a an offset of 25 or 35.

What offset is correct, and also would there be any rubbing issues?

Any good source for W124 wheels in India, around Pune or Mumbai?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Alloys for W124 Mercedes Benz

You can contact Arish. His family runs a workshop in Camp area. This is his number: 9823777857. From what he's told me they do all kinds paint jobs, etc. If asks tell him you got the number from his pilot friend from Goa. Just make sure you ask them to scrub out the old paint, and level out the surface before they paint. And I recommend painting it with the colour, "brilliant silver". It makes a huge difference after you get the rims re painted...the car just looks a lot better. I've done this for my W 124, C class and Accord at different stages. In fact both my W 124 and Accord, I got the entire car repainted. The cars just look new.
