upsized tyre on WagonR

I upgraded my wagonR's tyre to Bridgestone donuts 165/65 R-13.
Wider profile tyres were very good in terms of road grip and handling, but for some tight steering. But the side fender wall is touching the tyres at high speed bumps when fully loaded. Recently, the tyre wall was scraped so bad, there were a few cuts. So was wondering what could be the possible solution for this. I was thinking of spacers, but wagonr already being tall, it may not make sense. What are the other alternatives ? Please let me know.

Thanks in Advance,
Babu

babubhai,
165/65r13 means speedo error, and also the hard steering is actually your front tires touching the body..
change to 165/60r13 ...adding spacers will spoil the handling ..the only plus will be better ride comfort.
