Well, in 60 profile Getz can only have 195/60-14

15
195/50-15 - Manveet has it in his mom's getz

16"
205/40-16- Vish Janu's Red Getz

I feel 195s are sufficient for Getz.

How much of a diff will it make in the FE if the tyres are upgraded on a Getz GLE from 155/80/13 to 195/60/14 on 6J Alloys.

say around 4kmpl with normal driving most of the time and a few quick revs at times on a tankfull.

shouldnt really make a noticeable difference. but the grip and handling will improve a lot.

Hey, who's correct? Akshay1234 says 'not noticeable' while rider60 says '4km/lt'! Is the correct answer somewhere in the middle of these 2?

no way its gonna make a 4kmpl diff. that mustve been a typo. the max it will be is 1-1.5kmpl.

Akshay's numbers are more realistic. I don't know where you got the 4 kpl from.

I run 196/60/R14 Turanza's on my getz and it returns 12-13 kmpl in city with a/c.

Guys,

Both the figures mentioned are wrong
. The diff at all would be in decimal figures. Agreed wider tyres have greater resistance and weight but the diff in weight between the stock steel rims & Alloys will take care of the extra weight of the tyres.

With 195/60/14 your going to love the way she responds to you pumping her 'pedal' and will be raring to go for more! ;)

Jokes apart you can expect a difference of maybe upto 1.5kmpl given ^similar driving conditions.

okay is it the 1.1liter well then its more like say 1-2.5kmpl difference depending on how spirited your driving is.

if its the 1.3L then its slightly more, i was thinking more like blast off from acceleration from the signals and good heavy foot flooring at times can actually do that kind of difference on the 1.3L just check it out with the other getz 1.3L owners for the more realistic mileage figures.

Already the getz comes with a stock steel rim of 14" ive seen it the diesel getz, which my friend has,and mine came with the 13inch steel rims after the upgrade 15'inch i think the difference is not more than 1km in the average under casual driving conditions
