My Latitude Tour HP update - one year and 25k kms later, the ones at the front are completely bald and resemble doughnuts. The ones at the rear, which were rotated from the front at about 13k, are only slightly better.

I need new tyres. Do not use this to evaluate the tyres in question without considering the fact that I have never crossed 30k on a set of tyres across several vehicles and tyre brands - my style of driving seems to be rather tYresome.

I have the latitude hp's on my car as well (not the yeti). I have done ~15k kms since installation. I am overall very impressed with the tyres. They will last another 15k kms for sure. Just wanted to know, how did you find these tyres at the end of their lives? Like did the puncture rate increase, or did the tyre noise increase drastically? How would you rate these compared to the other options available?

I need to buy new tires since the Goodyears have done 44K now, even though they aren't bald yet.. Whats the verdict on the H/T - S G051 ? How many Kms so far on them?

I have completed 35k and it should be good for another 10-15k. I would recommend them

A Year and a half later what are the options? Was interested in the Yoko's H/T-S G051 but theY seem to be Grey market tires so I can't find any out here. Suggestions?

Well, right now Goodyear Assurance is available.

The Michelin Latitude Tour HPs are available in 215/65-16. Pirellis are available in 235/60-16.

215/60-16 still has a lack of great ootions.

Nikhil what do you think of CPC2s in 225/55 R16? For regular commuting + some rough roads. No real off road per se.

It should be good! I have always liked the CPC2 and it's ruggedness. I think the CPC2 would be good on the Yeti as long as one is aware of it's limitations.

It would be tough enough to not slow down for rough patches, etc right? I don't intend to do rock crawling or anything, but hopefully it can take as much abuse as the stock Goodyear Assurance?

In that case I will probably keep this is mind when the tyre change is due.

What is your opinion on Pirelli P7 in 215/60 R16 and Falken AzenisPT722 ? Will they be rugged enough for Indian road conditions?
Both are available here for around 8200-8400 per tyre.

The Falken Azenis is a high performance tyre. Sidewalls will be soft and it will not be very good for the Yeti.

The Pirelli P7 should be good though.

I had seen this option too in the Falken wildpeak, which should be suitable, but what I have heard is that Falken also has a soft sidewall, which also makes it prone to sidewall damage. Good thing though is that when I searched online, I found that Changemytyre is also offering road hazard insurance, which can cover such conditions.
In terms of load bearing capacity, anything above 95 rating is good as the standard OE tyres are 95H rated. 95 rated tyres can take 690 kg per tyre and 98 rated can take 750 kg per tyre, which is more than enough for the Yeti, which has a GVW of max 2075kg for the 140 Bhp 4x4.

If you meant the weight of the Tyre, yes, I also have a concern there as a 215/65 R16 tyre is almost 10% heavier than 215/60 R16, which will definitely put a bit more stress on the suspension.

Thanks for your feedback Nikhil! I am also leaning towards the P7's now if I go for the stock size, else if upsize to 215/65 R16, I may go for Bridgestones. There is a 3% differential in the OD size.
Sheel had put Michelin Latitude Tour HPs on his Yeti in 215/65 R16, which have gone nearly bald in 25K Kms - will this upsize really bring down the life from expected 40K to 25k, or are the Michelins too soft? Will appreciate your expert opinion.

I havent used the Michelin Latitude Tour HP. It may have worn out in 25k kms due to many reasons but I wont be surprised that the tyre is really that soft! It is a tyre aimed at comfort and grip and not at long life.
