| ![]() I would be taking delivery of my Vento Highline Diesel this coming Sunday and one of the first upgrades (and the only) on the list are the tyres. I am told the stocks are likely to be Aceleres (185/60 R15). They came stock on my existing i20 and in a span of 3.5 years, 3 of the 5 tyres have had the sidewalls cuts in addition to 5-6 punctures. All within City driving (you can compare to rural roads since i live in b'lore ![]() I plan to upsize to 195/60 R15 and i am looking for the following and in that Order 1. Durability (NO sidewall bulges/cuts and least prone to punctures) 2. Minimum impact on Mileage 3. Better Road Grip 4. Reduced road noise 5. Good looks from the various posts in this thread, i have shortlisted the following: 1. BS ER60 (Turanza) 2. BS MY02 (Potenza) 3. Michelin Energy XM2 4. Yokohama V550 DB I called Millvisions (Lalbagh) and they offered to buyback the Aceleres for 3000/- each and Quoted 5500/- for the BS ER60 and between 5300 - 5700 for the rest (i don't remeber the exact quotes for these). Please suggest if am making the right choice for my requirements and is Millvisions is offering me a fair deal? |

| ![]() Does the upgrade from 185/60 R15 to 195/60 R15 has any substantial effect on the fuel efficiency, when calculation based to actual filing than on-board computer figure? Say 1 or 2 kms drop? I am getting my Polo Petrol HL with 185/60 R15 OEM this week and I am planning to go for 195/60 R15 Bridgestone Turanza EF60. Any one has done this specific upgrade? Howz the overall experience? The upgrade is going to cost 10K. Is it worth? |

| ![]() If you are going for Bridgestone, go for MY02, will cost you about 5K each. I upgraded my stock tyres to CPC2 the same day i took delivery of my car (costed 5450 each but you should get a better price) and the ride has been outstanding since. Too early to comment about their durability though. |

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...pgrade-12.html Last 8 months with this sporty tyre has been very much up to the expectation level, most importantly the road noise reduction and on road stability at high speeds.

MY02 is not available in stock size. However, you can safely upsize since the drop in FE is less than a KM and you get the extra 6mm ground clearance. Also the gap in the wheel arches is reduced giving a better overall look.

| ![]() You dont need to touch the spare. It should only be used to get you to the workshop in case of a puncture and should see minimum usage during the life of the car. If you are thinking that there may be a bigger difference in the sizes when compared to the other stock 15 inch then dont worry. It is a negligible difference and it should not matter over the short drive that it will be used for Last edited by plain.vanilla : 14th August 2013 at 09:38. |

The Acelere is better than the ER60. Just for 10mm wider tyre, it doesnt make sense to spend money. Save the money and spend it on ICE or something. Please dont waste your money.
