What do you guys recommend as the ideal tyre in the original size? Currently running a combination of Yoko Blue-Earth's and Earth1's. Looking to change into Continentals or Michelins. Continental seems to only have the CC6 in 185/60R15 but not the UC6.
What options can I look at from Michelin?
I believe Vredestein has some options in 185/60. Those look like soft compound types from when I last saw.

You can have a look at the newly launched Bridgestone Turanza 6, they're supposed to be made of soft compound.

In this size, Michelin only has one option XM2+

I have changed to Vredestein 185/60 from Continental CC5. First ride is good. The tyre guy was very positive and he is running the same tires in his rapid for last 2 years and is happy. Will update this thread, after driving for some significant miles.

Yesterday, while buying I randomly checked one tire for manufacturing date and it was April 2024. Today when I checked all 4, two are 0424, and two are 0323. I see the 2023 tires are old by at least 1.25 years. I am worried. Is this a problem?

Hi,

Tyres have a shelf life of 5 years, If the tyres are properly stored they shouldn't give you any trouble. By properly stored I mean in a cool & dry place and out of direct sunlight and water.

I saw he bringing the tires from his store room behind. So it was not in direct sunlight.

Any body here has used Vredestein in the stock size 185/60 R15? I am looking for feedback for Vredestein Ultrac for my Vento TSI. Given my car has DSG, I am not looking to change from stock size.

Primary ask is low road noise. XM2 is not in stock in most of the shops, else that would have been my first choice.
