Yes;

100 % correct.

I do not have a spare wheel - nor do I have a Jack / Tommy.

If ever I get a 'flat' I am truly 'jacked' !

No boot space - so no storage & no out station travel.

I need to buy a Thule, but Methods does not sell it any more.
So that option too does not exist. Really sad..

Re: VW Polo 1.6 Petrol - 17" Alloys - 5 hole 100 PCD - Sparco Pista X 8J

I have a Red Polo1.6 and i have done some mods to boost the performance.
Race exhaust and mapping from Race Concepts
ECU 0901 from Race Dynamics

End result is 89bhp 133nm at the wheel. Dyno'ed at Red Rooster Performance.

Btw, I'm still using the stock air filter.

@bhagwan - great looking car and ICE install. Could you share the pricing for the custom air intake system? And is it BMC or K&N? - you have mentioned K&N but the pictures show BMC.

@Kushanth - Hi, I have just booked a Polo 1.6 and would like to know what real world acceleration improvement is there after the ECU remap and exhaust mod.
The guys at Pete's recommend that you DONT touch this engine, so was just wondering.
Thanks

The Air Filter is K & N
It was installed @ 4S Auto.
They do not sell K & N anymore.
So, they stuck a BMC Sticker on the job that was done by them.

The Cost;

Filter + Labour + Material [Rs. 25/-K Approximate] !

I know it is a bit stupid to ask this at this stage, but anyone considered a TC job on this engine? be it in the polo or the fabia.

If u have any information on this, please let me know.

I like the Mods. The Selection of alloys, Tires' size, etc is amazing.
Even I've bought Polo Highline but TDI and got 2 yrs extended warranty. I've something to ask, I've heard that if you do any kind of mods or changes in you Polo your warranty gets void. Is that true?

Wow that sounds like a lot of money, even if it's a cold-air-intake kit + filter. I was quoted 16k for a K&N + Typhoon CAI for my '06 Honda Civic S and 17.5k for installation/labour, etc..

P.S. How much are those sparco-wheels? Where can one source them? How much is the wheel/tyre set totally?

Yes, the warranty is void if modifications are done!
You could work through your dealer before modifying them!

Cheers!

Nice selection of wheel and tyres! Thats my fevorite brand!

BTW, why dont you get a small spacer, say a 1" or something, i think you can get one off the shelf. It will change the overall dynamics of the car, get a lowering spring too!
