Guys,
will there be any problems if when we change our wheels, we change only 4 rims and keep the last rim as stock steel rim. We will be upsizing the tyres on all rims though they will be 14" 185/60R14.
This way, we will save 4K which can go for our audio package

Dont think there will be any problems, only it looks crap when you have the spare on with rest 3 as alloys. But if you really want to put that money somewhere else you can do that.

lamborghini,

pls visit http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/index.jsp

i think this site should help you arrive at some decision on alloys, you select the car of your choice ( don't know whether the new generation ford fiesta has been uploaded or not) and try different alloys incluyding different rim sizes...

happy hunting

hi

if budget is no constraint, go for a cool 7 spoke(fat spokes) alloy from OZ. i saw an accent with these particular alloys with 35 profile tyres. looks beyond awesome.

Also, how much should I expect in exchange for the original Optra wheels and tyres?
Hey Boom Shiva,

I think i am too late to reply, but just for the benefit of others i will state that the dealers for the optra were quoting Rs 50k for a set of 5 14" wheels, which i had got from a dealer for Rs 16k only !!

Lamborghini,

Have you got your alloys yet? Pics? (I am in the same situation!)

Does anyone know what the PCD and Offset of the Fiesta is?

Hey, don't worry, I didn't buy from the dealer cause I knew they were scamming. Fort Point was asking for 20k for a set of 5 14" wheels, and they didn't even have much variety.

Instead, I picked up a set of 5 15" HR alloys from Saifee for 21k.

Thanks though, I appreciate it.

Haven't changed the tyres on the Fiesta.
Sorry guys.
But i intended to but then realised it wasn't worth it as it will be used by a driver on badly damaged roads. (My wheelcaps have already gotten messed up).
Cheers

Alloys for Fiesta ZXI

Hello Everyone,

After hearing what the group has been telling. I still can't make up my mind from the information I have. I am going to get my Fiesta 1.6 ZXI this weekend and have opted for the ZXI and not the SXI because I do not like the standard alloys that come with the car. Can the group help me with the following:

a) What is the maximum tyre size upgrade that is recommended for the car. I believe the 14" are too small for the Fiesta and do not fill wells well enough. The current tyres are 14R 175/??

b) What company alloys are recommended without tearing a hole in the pocket

-Thanks.
Sumit.
ps: I have voted for the 'other' in this poll.

Found this thread after some hunting....
@sumitsingh... did you upsize your rims and tyres? i'm considering buying a fiesta 1.6 sxi, so would appreciate any feedback.
i was initially set on upgrading to 195/60 R14 tubless (Potenza GIII/ Energy XM1/ Eagle NCT5). the salesman told me he'd sell me the car without the alloys. he said he would throw in the ABS in its place. kinda surprised me, coz i thought that the ABS AND the alloys were standard in the sxi. apprently not...
anyway, now i'm also throwing in 15" rims to the equation. has anyone tried fitting 15 inchers on a fiesta? does this adversely affect the car in any way? FE, suspension, steering etc?
also, would appreciate if anyone could verify the PCD & offset for fiesta rims. couldn't find the figures anywhere.
finally, i don't believe there was a consencus about the rim design.
what say guys? league, plati? would not like to go over 20k...

razor4077,

Sorry for the late reply. I missed this thread.. Sorry, I have not upgraded to the alloys.. not just yet since I am still looking for a setup that would suit my platinum ZXI.

Let me know if you come across some designs that look nice.

-Thanks.
