priyo continued ---- that too a ight hand drive. The dash appears to be in good shape and so do the gauges. The fron grill seems to be ok. Overall a well preserved lady ! 24th May 2012
priyo It is rare that we see restoration of an American car, one that was a legend in its own ways! When GM, Ford & Chrysler were on their way to bring out bigger, heavier & more powerful tanks, Studebaker chose to offer sensible, economical & yet prettier cars? Does anyone remember from the 50's the ads MOBILGAS economy run and Champion spark plugs featuring the fine Studebaker cars . In the US these cars were repeat winners of the famous Pike's peak endurance
Race !
My congratulations to Speedy on undertaking this task. However, a question - the post is dated 2007 - why was such delightful venture not mentioned upto now ? And then, is the restoration completed ? Please enlighten us as to how the six cylinder flathead was refurbished and where.
The license plate shown the ancient BMY nnumber. Is the car in running condition now and is it shown at rallies as I expect it should be. Great looking car- and let me point out that a two door coupe was a a rarity in India and that too
