sAP	I test drove a newer (2005) 545i and found it's V8 front-end heavy... the benchmark straight-six smoothness and BMW body balance was alarmingly missing... they ruined it. Hopefully, this one's better.	26th December 2008

A few years ago my SIL used to drive a 2002 540i, automatic, but still very impressive. I'd run into a website where a fellow had done several modifications to his E39.
