govigov ha ha funny!! :) congratulations, are you riding daily? 26th June 2014
narayanang76 ACM, ride experience has been quite different between the two, RR 5.1 and Triban 3. RR 5.1 has been a very good entry level bike for starters, and I had used it extensively before selling that and upgrading to an entry level road bike, now Triban 3. The main reason I upgraded is because I started doing long rides, 100 kms and doing it on 5.1 was not ideal and hence upgraded. Triban 3 is effortless compared to 5.1, the tires are thin and no front shocks, hence the bike moves ahead with less effort compared to 5.1. It is also light weight compared to 5.1 and has carbon fork on the front. Overall quite happy with the upgrade, only that I am able to ride the bike during week ends only now days due to work commitments. Also to answer your query reg tire thickness, never felt that way so far, the tire holds good and its surprising to the width of current tires. 2nd April 2014
ACM How has the driving experience on road been between a Triban 3 and the RockRider 5.1. One being a road / sport bike with thin tyres and the other a basic offroad bike. Which do you enjoy more after having driven a fair bit of. What about the seating position and also the confidence of staying up on the bike in watery / slippery conditions? 2nd April 2014
narayanang76 Thanks all. However this RR 5.1 is sold few months back and I have now upgraded my bike. To Btwin Triban 3 road bike. Will post the pics soon. 16th March 2013
