2011 Chevrolet Beat LT LPG - Ten years old this year and still good for many more (Hatchback)
Ten years ago, I really did not understand much about cars. At that point of time, I was looking to replace my Matiz and was looking for a car with a good balance of power, space and ride quality, and also one that was economical to run and maintain. The Swift was the first choice (found the Wagon R too boxy and never liked the Ritz) but it had a long waiting period and also the experience at the Maruti showroom was bad. Out of the blue a friend suggested the Beat LPG - since LPG was a much cheaper fuel, plus Chevy was at that time giving a 3 years unlimited free maintenance package. That is how the Beat came into our household. We had originally planned to keep the car only for 5 years but it grew on us and has been a loyal companion for over a decade now.
