Thank you for uploading a few snaps in relation to the first F1 . Seems to be dominated with Jags. Could spot just one classic American . All the best and await more snaps

Re: Vintage & Classic Car Parade with F1 Drivers

This was the original list which came in the Media but there seems to be more cars. I spotted a E Type, MG which were not in the list.

Vettel - Buick Convertible (1947)
Webber - Rolls Royce Phantom I (1925)
Button - Lanchester (1928)
Hamilton - Essex Super Six (1929)
Alonso - Studebaker Commander (1930)
Massa -Chrysler CM 6 (1931)
Rosberg - Mercedes 680 K Supercharged (1929)
Schumacher - Stutz Speedster (1931)
Petrov - Lagonda M45 (1934)
Senna - Auburn Boattail Speedster (1935)
Barrichello - Jaguar XK 120 Roadster (1950)
Maldonado - Jaguar Mark V (1950)
Sutil - Jaguar XK 120 Roadster (1950)
Di Resta - Jaguar XK 120 Roadster (1951)
Kobayashi - Jaguar XK 140 Roadster (1955)
Perez - Chevrolet BelAir (1956)
Alguersuari - Triumph TR - 3 (1956)
Buemi - Austin Healey 100/6 (1956)
Trulli - Daimler Dart SP 250 (1959)
Kovalainen - Sunbeam Alpine Series I (1960)
Liuzzi - Austin Healey 3000 (1962)
Karthikeyan - Mustang Convertible (1964)
D'Ambrosio - Mustang Convertible (1968)
Glock - Karmann Ghia (1972)

Looks like Doc is well represented with the Jaguar XK 140, Mark V, E Type, Lanchester & Triumph

I guess this is the 1929 Essex Super Six. What is the history of this Ex-Mumbai car?

What is the history of this Logonda? After how long is this car been seen?

Re: Vintage & Classic Car Parade with F1 Drivers

That Lagonda has adorned the old car scene in India for a very long time. It was with the Nath family at one time and now belongs to two people from Delhi if I am not mistaken.

The Essex looks nice and well restored, what are those slanted flagpoles on the mudguards for ?

The Auburn Speedster (R) looks pretty nice as well.

There is a cream Sunbeam Talbot visible in many of the pictures

Are you referring to the brackets on the side of the bonnet? These are for 2 lamps.Obviously these are missing. I do not want to comment on the restoration.Persons who have seen my 1928 Essex will notice the difference

Th side brackets are missing their lighs for sure but I was refering to the chrome flag poles mounted on both front bumpers at an angle.

They lookfunnyand are not on te older pictures of the car. I believe th Essex is an older restoration. It looks like ita a very original car.

Is it the same model as your Essex ?

Re: Vintage & Classic Car Parade with F1 Drivers

These poles look odd.Does not seem to be an OE. Referring to Kasli's post of Essex picture, I find that the Tyres & Paint shade are not original either. This is an 1930 or later than 1930.Mine is an 1928.

Thanks for sharing Jattiji, we go look forward to the final snaps. Can you share any more of the Mustangs?

What is the cream car seen behind the Stutz? And nice to see the Stutz with new lamps compared to the Lukas ones we saw at Cartier (not that they looked bad).

The Essex is a Poona car right through (till very recently). I have been seeing it being restored for years, and it only just was finished.

I'm happy to see 3 Pune cars - the silver XK, the Essex and the red Ghia.

A Treat for the Eyes no Doubt. Seeing the beauties running on this newly made track.. we should say track ki "shaan ko 4 chand lag gaye". I'm a bit confused here, were the drivers as mentioned in the list driving the respective cars ?

Thank you. I will definitely upload more photographs from the final event. The car you are referring to behind the Stutz is a 1931 Chrysler CM 6, owned by a member of HMCI Mr. Madan Mohan. There were two Mustangs one a 1965 (red) from Jaipur and a 1968 (white) from Delhi.

KPS - Doc did mention about his Austin Healey being invited, so that makes it 6 cars. Any which ways, it is a proud moment for all of us associated with KVCCC.

Doc's Healey is not seen in the pictures. There is only one Healey listed Liuzzi - Austin Healey 3000 (1962). The Healey in the event is a bigger and later model

I am attaching Doc Healey and the Healey at the event for ready reference

Docs

Event Healey

I understand that all the cars owners had to pay from the their pockets for the event and Doc getting so many cars from Bangalore is a feat.

Personally I would have loved it if the two cars which were raced in India where there, the Gondol 300 SL and Harit's Lancia. However it may not have been possible.

As Wasif pointed out the re-bodied Auburn looks fantastic.

Hey Karl, spot on the Stutz Headlights. I had not noticed it

Cheers
