I am referring to GJQ 8998, the blue car. Seems to be a Chevy 4 door sedan from the late20s/early 30s but the bow tie seems to have am '8' sort of script.

It was a pleasure to 'hear' your Mustang roaring at the flag-off

Re: Making Of the Gujarat Vintage And Classic Car Club. EDIT : 1st event Report & PIC

This must have been a great event. Mumbai Samachar mentioned this in Mumbai, clipping attached.
A few cars were missing, Ahmedabad surely has more cars? I am not referring to Autoworld cars, but nice to see Pranlal cars actively participating, they do not come in Mumbai events anymore.
I was under the impresion that there is a Model T Ford in Ahmedababd, maybe even two, that would have made them one of the oldest cars.
I very much liked the 1959 Chevy, but that is not a Town and Country, the tag on the car is the dealers tag. Many American cars which were purchased locally in America and then imported to India in the 1960's onwards had such tags.
Looking forward to the next Ahmedabadi event. Way to go!!

Cheers harit

The photo while accurate, the caption about the Chotta Udaipur Rolls or the Mysore Daimler etc is all humbug. Though I wish it'd be true

Can you please translate the full text? Thanks.
The cars mentioned, Chotta Udaipur Rolls or the Mysore Daimler, are in the Bhogilal collection. maybe the reporter misunderstood something, or the participants changed.

Vintage Car Rally: Ahmedabad today hosted the Vintage and Classic Car Rally. People gathered in hordes to catch a glimpse of the Chota Udepur Rolls, Mysore Daimler, Hyderabad's Aluminium-plated Rolls Royce and other cars.

I am too shocked to see this report in the mumbai samachar. Only the Chrysler and Cadillac participated from Pranlal's collection. Reporter Janak Patel has been probably wrongly informed about the other cars mentioned.

@ Harit
Thanks though for uploading the same. And yes there are many more cars in Ahmedabad awaiting to be on the roads. Hopefully in the next event we shall have many more Ahmedabad cars as well as Outside Gujarat and other Gujarat Cars welcomed too.

For sure they will come, but please plan for November to February, after Diwali, avoid Xmas, New Year and 27th of January
Cars that could go to Mahableshwar can also go to Ahmedabad.

Cheers harit
