In 1951 the six cylinder Vauxhall Velox was advertised at Rs. 10,600, while the four cylinder Wyvern was priced at Rs. 9,650. Agents were TVS in Madras.

A bunch of priceless documents related to the purchase of a new Lambretta Scooter in 1972 can be seen here. (Lambretta scooters - Restoration & Maintenance)

Amongst them is the invoice which listed the price when new in December 1972 as Rs. 3205.50 in Pune. Dealers were The Ram Agency.

A 1956 price list of BSA motorcycles in Calcutta. The range starts from Rs. 1900 plus tax for the entry level 125cc D1, going up to Rs. 5400 plus tax for the 650cc Road Rocket. The famous Goldstar is listed at Rs. 5350.

In 1953 Studebaker advertised the new Champion 'Bulletnose' with a price reduction of Rs. 2500.

The Custom Champion was down from Rs. 18,975 to 16,475, and Regal Champion down from Rs. 19,975 to Rs. 17,475.
