I had visited the Madras Heritage Motoring Rally on Aug 24th. There was a good variety of Classics from pre and post war years

The Madras Heritage Motoring Club's 10 Anniversary MY TVS Heritage Rally was a grand success and very well organised with around 125 cars and 30 bikes having participated,
The guests were Mr Vinod Dasari ,MD Ashok Leyland Ltd & Mr Sudheer Rao of Skoda India Ltd.
The Don Bosco School grounds was thronging with people appreciating the old beauties.. It was as if the whole of Chennai was there !
I had participated with 4 cars & 2 bikes and won the Concours d'Elegance for cars upto 1940 for the 1930 Mercedes Benz 170V ,and the best new entrant for the BSA C-11.
My entries were ;
1938 Mercedes Benz Type 170 V
1942 Ford GPW
1949 Citroen Traction Avant 11BL
1946 Morris 8 Series E Tourer
1954 BSA C-11
1959 Lambretta Li 150 Series 1

Thanks for sharing. Most of the cars look to be top shape and well restored.

Nice to see some new cars. Any more pictures of the black 1960s Chrylser, the gold 47 Buick and the black Hindustan 14?

The flashy 59 Chevy was restored in Bombay a couple of years back, and still looks like a million bucks.

Sadly, I didn't know of this event though I was in Chennai on the 24th (was busy with the National Racing Championships event in the MMSC Tracks). Could have found some time to pop by.
