Announcing the Vth, 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally. This year it will be on a larger scale, more royal and more luxurious than ever before. So let’s take a peek at the highlights of this year’s celebrations. They are sure to wow you!
a) 201 Premium Vintage Cars
b) 52 Km Long Royal Rally
c) 51 Maharajas (1st time in the History of India).

Most of these cars are from the pre-war era and will be coming from all over the India. The event will be held on 21st and 22nd Feb 2015.

On 7th, the rally will start from the gates of the Red Fort and end at Leisure Valley Park, Gurgaon.
The event on 8th, will begin at the Leisure Valley Park, Gurgaon.

I was actually considering attending this rally in Feb. 2015.
But now the question arises ('dont mean to sound pessimistic) as to whether it would still be on, what with the new proposal to ban 15+ year old vehicles off Delhi's roads?
Are the local clubs and associations there doing something in this regard?

Why 21 Gun Salute Rally?

The vintage vehicles that participate in the rally are much more than just automobiles. These vintage cars and bikes represent our country’s heritage that we have painstakingly preserved. Such a vintage car rally and auto show of international standards would take us a step closer to spreading awareness about the vintage cars and showcase the evolution of the automobile industry to the younger generation. The idea of machines that drive us around might have been completely transformed with the emergence of a competitive automotive market in India but these cars are not just rides anymore, they are a chapter of our regal history. This entire event i.e. The 21 Gun Salute Rally is a sincere attempt to understand and reignite the pride and passion that our erstwhile rulers harboured for their machines.

Are you by any chance the guy running this rally? And so far are there only two owners who have promised cars?

You earlier stated that 51 Maharajas were going to attend. With due respect, where are you going to produce them from?

Who are the judges? What facilities are being offered to those who wish to send cars?

Clarity would be appreciated.

I am informed that the earlier show was well organized, participants being really treated well. This time around it is expected to be even better, but 51 Maharajas?

will the Delhi RTO be in attendance to tow away these cars and take them to the scrap yard as the very knowledgeable lawmakers of the green tribunal with not an ounce of brain between them have outlawed these polluting motor vehicles.

I Think it will not, HMCI (many members participate in the 21 gun salute rally) (And I mistook that this even is done by HMCI, it is not) may already be working on this to get exemption.

Usually heritage class is exempted from the so called rulings. I think an ammendment would come in future.

Aroy -rally - The placard placed in front of the car is a wrong one, it states that the is car owned by Mr. Avijit Singh, which is not correct . Mr. Avijit Singh's car is different and if I remember correctly, his Mustang did not come for this event. You may consider cropping the photograph ?
