I have known this PONTON for the last 5years.It is a reregistered 180 car which was owned by the BISHOP of Trichur(not sure!!) .Finally it landed in the hands of a Gulf malayalee in Alleppey. It is in pretty BAD shape,no mercedes engine,no original dash/meters/,trim,etc.Just on book and external body it can be called a Ponton.
It was still available for Rs.25000/- in 2005.
dont know abt its current whereabouts. Will check if somebody wants

Thats a rather stylish and sporty looking Toyota. Superb dash! Should be quite collectible these days. Condition too seems great. I wonder how much she would fetch.

Nice find Jayd, Yes that is a 170V. The meters are not original but still can be got and the car is very restorable. Does this person want to sell it. What other classics does he own?

JayD, if I'm right this meter belongs to the Standard 20 van. We had one of '84 make, scrapped it in '96 .
