Hello Aniruddh

I think it is a GM body and engine. With a lot of modification.
Its come out of a government lot could be a modified ambulance or my guess a hearse.

Regards

Heres a picuture of a Ford, saved long back from the net. Can recollect it to b a mid 30s ford V8, not gone into regular production. model was named, PILOT or somthg(totally lost on it). The body shell seems much the same.. rear looks highly tampered and front end is missing.

Yes, Ford made a V8 for the English market, didn't look like any American car of its time. This may be based on the Pilot, but have never seen a metal body estate so far, mostly woodies. Never seen them with spoke wheels too. This seems to be very similar to the Fordson WOT in Pune, made specifically for the war. Either ways, a nice car to have and super fun once restored.

The past seven years haven't been kind to this Biscayne. She lies opened up and unrestored, exposed to the elements now. The asking price ensures that she will soon go into the ground.

Yep! Dieselised.

Well if the windscreen is intact the car is worth the price of that screen alone. Some hope ...

Cheers

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

Happened to spot this junked fiat 1100 (possibly 103) on my trip to Madras over the weekend. This was outside this little garage close to my aunt's house in T Nagar there. She said she'd been seeing it there for the last 3 years or so, and twas originally black! Unfortunately couldn't hang around long enough to find out more details or take better pics as we had to rush from there for a personal commitment elsewhere!

Actually all the Fiat 1100s we are familiar with from dukkar to Delight are called 1100-103 series. The 54/56 would be 103, the Elegant in 56/57 was 103E and so on.

Exactly! Which is why I referred to it as possibly 103, because going by the opening for the rear numberplate light, i took it as a 54/56 though I didn't get to check out the front.
