Ouch! Poor bug!
Sad to see such beauties rotting away.. One day they were in all their glory, now they'r scrap metal, rusting and falling apart.

Hi V16,
I went back to confirm on the car.Its indeed a 220 s and like you said the rear lights are from a W110 ,the whole rear end was modified after the rear got shunted.I talked to the owner and he told me the original petrol engine was changed with a merc diesel engine whcih he had imported in the late seventies. Now I am on hunt to trace out the petrol engine which is some where there in his yard.He told me the engine came with twin Zenith carbs.I will keep u posted on what comes up...
Regards..
Pevee

Amit, this hindustan 14 doesn't look that bad. May not be the best maintained one,but all it needs is some TLC. Any pics of the interiors?

Its the earlier Millecento, 54-56, identified by the twin round meters.

karl..recognise this??

the story behind this car-
dad and me went to see this car and the car was sitting idle since 4 years..no fuel no nothing...finally we put a jerrycan with fuel and fed a pipe into the carb
thecar started and dad drove it with me walking next to it walking with the jerrycan with the hood open..went 50-80 mts. in the front and the car stopped..started it again after 15 mins and found that the brakes were not working at all..

finally we put the car back in the owners garage and offered the owner 5000 bucks.....the owner got so shocked that he just turned around, boarded a rickshaw and went away without saying a word...the moment he was out of sight, dad and me burst out laughing..the car hasnt moved since..by the way the car has a gaping hole in the roof just above the rear right door and the hole is as big as say 4-5 inches..through and through the roof
