He said he had the owner's manual and other related materials imported and 'PLANS' to restore the car himself. I didn't know if it was worth investing into this project, hence didn't make an offer. I asked the experts here to comment on the feasibility of the project, but I'm still waiting for a reply.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

A friend showed me today this '56 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 (thanks to Ram for identifying the exact model- I first took it as an 88) that he had come across a month or two ago. He said the rear glass wasnt broken then.
Seems to have been a Bombay car earlier. Familiar to anyone? Harit et al?

Looking at the extent of the tinworm on it, I doubt its salvageable. Maybe the owners gave up on it for that reason?

Check out the cool twin exhaust outlets in the rear bumper!

The Oldsmobile is definitely restorable. Sourcing parts will be hard but not impossible with sites like rockauto.com and ebay. This is what its gonna look like once restored.Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars-4931197857_322287c62d.jpg

The VW KG has been posted by Samir Usapkar on facebook. Sad to see her in this state. From the look of it seems like all the useable parts have been taken away as doners.

A VW Karmann Ghia Type 14 in such a state. Really sad to see what ever remains of a true classic.

These were true classic built between 1955 and 1975. There was a convertible version too.

There is nothing left in it, except the body shell. I am sure the air cooled flat 4 engine would have been ripped off earlier.

Spotted this Kingsway on the way to work - possibly getting some work done. Maybe diesel, but pleasing to look at even like this

Spotted outskirts of Bangalore. No more info since it is in a well-fenced area.

Was the Kingsway Spotterd in Pune ? If what i think is right, this Kingsway was lying with a friend of mine at Chandani chowk, that one had a diesel too and in similar condition and ofcourse same colour. Was sold about 2-3 years back.

BTW Off topic - Karl please come and pick up Your Tiger 100 Trophy as soon as possible, call me.

I saw it in Bombay. No idea on who owns it, but I assume it has come for repair as there are many garages in the vicinity.

Looks like a 180 or 190 and not bad although it is missing some trim parts. I hope it doesn't rust in peace and someone gets it to restore.
