Any idea which car is this? Looked similar to a Vauxhall Velox from certain angles.

I saw this at a workshop in Kapashera (New Delhi).

Studebaker - around 1953. Could be 1956 but can't judge the wrap around glass.

Yes, its lines seem similar to the Raymond Loewy designed Champion, tho' the bottom of the grill, with its split intake, is missing.

This is an interesting story. This particular Buick Skylark is from the 1970s if I a not wrong. It was first spotted by Team BHPian Rosso Corsa around 8 years ago lying abandoned in an open ground area in South Mumbai along with a Toyota Crown and Mercedes. In around 2013, I recollect seeing the same car near my house at Dadar, Shivaji Park parked alongside the Volkswagen Transporter which is still there. Apparently the car then went to Pune somepoint in 2016 I am guessing. It is now in a pitiable state. Here are some recent pics of the car I found on a Facebook page.
Does anyone know what the story behind this car is?

These are the recent images of the car. The car is literally a mess now. Sad that no one saved it when they could.

This is a 1960 picture from photographer Runo Ravander, don't think this car survived :(

Interesting to see the Dodge and Chevrolet emblems, perhaps parts of 2 cars.

Spotted this in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. I have absolutely no idea what make, model this is. A friend's educated guess was late 40s/early 50s Chevy.

Shared this info with the friend who did that educated guess, he was not buying the Pontiac thing. A bit of to and fro research and we think this is 1950 Chevy Belair Deluxe Saloon. Your views?

It is a Belair, Dashboard and steering. The body line looked more like a Pontiac to me.

Sad remains for Peugeot 404 Coupe in a workshop at Bangalore. This car has a royal connection and not sure if she can be rescued.

These pics were clicked at Dadar in April 2011. All the cars disappeared within a month of clicking these photos and BHPian SuperSelect spotted the Mercedes at Chor Bazaar sometime in June or July. There is an 80s VW Van north of Shivaji Park and it has been there for close to a decade, joined by a bagged W220 S-Class few years back. Is that the same transporter you are talking of?

Your guess about the car heading to Pune might be correct, I do remember a Pune based collector's post on a social media platform regarding parts for a Buick Skylark. This was sometime in 2013/14 but I could be wrong.

Where are the current photos clicked? Is the car in Pune at the moment? 70s American sedans aren't exactly desirable from a collector's POV at the moment, saving this one would require a pile of cash significantly higher than the value of another Skylark in a better condition.

YES! The Transporter is indeed the same one you're referring to. I'm not sure where exactly in Pune the Buick is though. There was also an Isuzu Gemini rotted alongside the Van. It disappeared just last week after nearly a decade! I've in fact posted pics of it on the imports gathering dust thread. The W220 has been sitting there since 2 years now and has bust air suspension:(
